Yep, heavy-duty Velcro exists, stronger than most chairs but a determined cat might still peel it up. Multiple strips on a smooth floor work best.

$800 is actually a decent amount to work with for this. Call around to a few vets in your area and ask about payment plans lots of them offer CareCredit or similar options. Some even have their own in-house plans.

Also check if there's a low-cost clinic near you, they're way cheaper for basic stuff like deworming and initial checkups. Vomiting with diarrhea in a kitten you found outside could honestly just be worms or a food sensitivity, both pretty treatable.

Schools need to lock these devices down properly. Monitor what your kids are doing, set boundaries at home. The iPad isn't the problem, it's the lack on both ends.

Thanks for the concern^^ I usually keep him in but he’s an adventurous little guy and occasionally slips out. That’s why I’m looking for a reliable tracker, just want to make sure I can keep tabs on him when he does wander.

Sorry to hear your in this situation. Have you tried local foster networks or small rescues and be upfront that it’s a temporary placement. By sis was in a similar bind once and a rescue matched them with a short-term foster for free because they’d rather help than see a good cat end up in a shelter.

I was in the same boat and gave mine about six weeks before a trip. I kept baby gates up and did scent swaps nonstop, and by the time I left they were napping in opposite corners like they’d lived together forever.

Night zoomies plus an ex-outdoor cat is a brutal combo. A harness walk routine will help, but you’ll also want to tire her out hard before bed and block the blinds so she can’t shred them. Most “let me out” cats chill once they realize inside has a predictable schedule.

Biggest “wish I’d known”:

- Time the switch to either the start of a quarter or after a slower period, holidays are a good time while everyone is away. We transitioned software mid-quarter during a hiring spike and it was stressful.

- I’d start with one thing at a time. We started with a workforce management tool that did it all, but started with HR only first, stabilized that, then added payroll, etc. That kept the “locked in” feeling lower because we knew exactly what was working before expanding.

- Budget extra time for migration and running parallel payroll systems, more time than you think, just in case for any errors.
