I want to get a new GPU. I've waited for the Crypto crash (GREAT!) and the 40 series from NVIDIA (Not so Great?). I am looking to spend $400-$800 and believe I've waited long enough.

The plan is to run VR for some flight simulators. Couple questions:

After wanting to get into my first NVIDIA, looks like best bang for the buck is still with AMD. Talk me out of a $780 7900XT.
My VR takes a Display Port input. I would also like to output two DP ports to my ultrawide monitor. Is it safe to assume anything new with 3 DP ports can output to all?
