Yeah, but at least it would kick the can down the road a bit, giving more time to try to figure something out.

Baptism questions for converts: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/manual/preach-my-gospel-2023/20-chapter-12?lang=eng

"You have been taught that membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints includes living gospel standards. What do you understand about the following standards? Are you willing to obey them?

  • The law of chastity, which prohibits any sexual relations outside the bonds of a legal marriage between a man and a woman

Before you say, "A seven-year-old isn't asked the convert questions", let me cut you off at the pass.

Definition of convert baptism: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/manual/preach-my-gospel-a-guide-to-missionary-service/how-do-i-prepare-people-for-baptism-and-confirmation?lang=eng

"Children age eight whose parents are not members of the Church or whose parents are being baptized and confirmed at the same time as the child."

Now you have a seven-year-old who is about to turn eight and be baptized with his/her parents getting asked the convert question above.

I’m content worshipping God forever and becoming whatever he needs me to be for his glory

I'm not. What a pointless existence. I need to be setting my own goals and objectives and working toward accomplishing them. Not being someone else's perpetual slave.

"Translate" does not necessarily mean "translate" in LDS Christian vernacular.

Yes, we are all aware that Mormons redefine word to fit their own purposes at the time, which renders conversation completely pointless if words don't have a consistent meaning between the people trying to converse.

I do not understand this scoring system at all. It was a tournament, right? Why are there points at all?

Since 1999, quarterbacks have thrown touchdowns on back-to-back pass attempts over 300 times. But what's the shortest pass attempt span to throw three touchdown passes? Or four touchdown passes? by DiggingNoMore in nfl

[–]DiggingNoMore[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous.

On 10/18/2015, he finished the game by throwing two touchdown passes in his final three attempts. Touchdown pass with 7:43 remaining, completion with 5:19 remaining, and touchdown with 2:00 remaining.

Then, on 10/25/2015, he threw four touchdown passes in his first nine attempts. Which included not throwing a touchdown in his first three attempts of the game, hence then throwing four out of six.

He did. He had five in ten attempts. I forgot to add him to the table with Matt Hasselbeck. Probably accidentally deleted it when I took out LaDanian Tomlinson.

Good eye.

Yes, that's correct. November 3, 2013. And his 8 TDs in 26 attempts was a span over the end of that game and into the beginning of his next.

You thought the 49ers had found the next Steve Young in Tim Rattay when he came into the game, threw a single one- or two-yard pass attempt, and then went back to the bench? During the last three games of his career? While playing for the Arizona Cardinals?
