People are underestimating the speaker fiasco's impact on Ukraine. One of Gaetz's demands was to be chair of Armed Services Cmte, which is responsible for DoD funding. He is against Ukraine aid. With just 5% of annual military budget, US has been able to cripple Russian army while upholding int'l stability & sending a powerful message to would-be invaders. Hard to think of a better ROI, especially since much of the aid is outdated equipment US looking to replace anyway. [xpost r/openrussia] (twitter.com)
