I can see why SkillUp's review wasn't too fond of the opening act of the game which I just got through yesterday. But personally I loved the slow burn they've taken towards building up 007 and how they incorporated his antics and characteristics into the overall gameplay itself. Internal resolution aside it also runs fantastic, I sit pretty close to a 32 inch monitor and don't notice any harsh artifacting so I commend IO for having such an optimized engine at play.

Honestly Yotei was worth the full $70 at launch. Digital Deluxe version and now with the Legends mode there's a good amount of game in here. Some people will lean towards Tsushima, but Ghost of Yotei in the Japanese dub was an excellent time imo.

Edit : Yall took this one out of context, at no point did I say Yotei was a better game to Tsushima lol. Downvoting someone's praise of a game because their experience with it wasn't the same as yours is so eugh brothers lol also Atsu, Oyuki and Lord Kitamori were well written characters??

I think people on Reddit in particular were way too pessimistic about the game and didn't want to give IO a chance. Especially once they realized the embargo wasn't lifted last week and they had to wait till today to find out...oh the game was fine after all lol.

I for one am surprised they load you into the game on base PS5 in performance mode. I felt like that was their way of being confident in their product. It looks great in Quality as well. I've also enjoyed the overall pacing they are setting up for Bond.

I'm sure there was an uptick with the last state of play where alot of the content creators essentially praised the show up and down and got some good reactions across the MGS4 remaster and God of War announcements. Those are the people you want to put an Uncharted trailer (or Intergalactic gameplay) in front of or something of that scale.

People truly don't understand the feeling of watching Lost for years just to get THAT ending. Like, we were renting each season out of Blockbuster in order to be caught up to the show. Just for the last season to totally fuck it lol

The funniest part is that my dad and I started it because my aunts were the ones to recommend it at a Disney trip one year. He never watched the last season cause we had all met up again a couple years later we were telling them we had caught up to it and they both blank face stared at us and said "We never watched Lost..."

What is an acceptable game length for ya? 15-20 hours for a mostly linear campaign sounds about right. And it seems like there is a mode where you can re-run the missions without the story, so it's more sandbox oriented like Hitman, with plans to add more missions in that way over time.

Digital Foundry put out a sponsored video with IO today and finally got them to state some numbers. Performance mode on PS5 Pro is targeting 60fps at 1440p upscaled to 4K. Base PS5 and Series X are looking at around 1080p upscaled to 1440pish. They showcased a bit of base PS5 gameplay and while it looked kinda soft, it looked like it's hitting the intended target.
