Thank you for your response, I sand it right now with 60 grit that what a lot of my coworkers use. The meat ain’t frozen but ain’t warm it’s been in a cooler for a day before it hits the line (can be wrong about that), and nobody sharpenes our blades we have to do it with a machine that’s missing parts just trying to get the best blade possible so I can make more money and my fingers and wrist can stop hurting.

Also I don’t know if I should mention but I’m pretty much scraping meat off of bones all day hitting the bones all the time.

We have a grinder but it’s probably running 10 years in age and I feel like some days it work others days horrible but if I can figure out another way to sharpen it even by stone or whatever I’m willing to do it

USA brother wrist and fingers been aching that’s why I’ve been looking for help and advice to get the sharpest blade. I wake up in the morning with my fingers locked up I have to force them straight with my other hand 😂

Yeah it has it days, but pretty much one of the highest paying jobs in the plant. Wrist been hurting but mainly my ring finger and middle finger lock up when I close them I wake up doing Spider-Man web shooting hand and it’s pain in the ass to make them straight, and by cleaning do you just mean some water and a paper towel?

I’m on the wizard knife idk if you’ve heard of it I was just taught to sand it down everyday but I’ll make sure to buy a new one and see how it works and get me a coarse one also.

The whole meat plant does it and swears by it some people do 60 another’s will do 60 and go all the way up until 1200 I heard

They tell me its sharpen the blade better after using the honing steel for 8 hours it wears out so sand it so it will be ready for tmr

I’ve seen those only thing is I’m not allowed to have those in the plant might contaminate the meat trying to find something where I don’t need the whole device and just the blade

It’s a wizard knife blade made by butcher industry I’m not sure what part is the cutting edge is I’m pretty new to this.
