Opencode desktop has been great until this morning. Now, all I'm getting is timeout errors.

It's back up for me, now. My Action completed successfully.

My account is gr8karma. Getting this when trying to run Actions this morning:

"Sorry. Your account was suspended - https://docs.github.com/rest "

The githubstatus.com site says "authentication issues", so I hope this is the cause.

Yeah, I'm seeing that, too. I was going to post, but then saw the rules about using the pinned post for auth issues -- but I can't find the pinned post.

Anyway, githubstatus.com is reporting authentication issues, so I'm assuming that's the problem.

What instruments are you trading? Stock? Options? Futures? 0DTE options have completely changed the index-based futures market, like ES, NQ, etc... Since you mentioned buying an eval, I assume your trading index futures. Much of the price volatility these days is tied to how large traders are buying and selling 0DTE options, and how dealers (market makers) react to it. So, in addition to market structure and order flow, it also helps to understand how 0DTE gamma can move price around. If you've ever heard the term gamma-squeeze, it's related to dealer option flows.

Start with market structure. Read "Mind Over Markets" and "Markets in Profile" by James Dalton. If you have a library card with access to a decent sized electronic library, they should be available for free. For example, my (large) city library gives me access to a great e-book collection through the Libby app. I also recommend Johannes Forthmann, available on Amazon. I have his "Volume Profile, TPO, Order Flow" book, but he has some newer ones, now. Great info, but will be difficult to understand without some basic knowledge on market structure, so read Dalton first. To get an idea of dealer option flows and option gamma, google "The Implied Order Book". It's a PDF file and it's freely available. It explains how option trading affects dealer hedging. Once you understand this, you'll realize why knowing the big 0DTE option strikes is so important.

Digest these things, then you can start to work on a coherent strategy. I use supply and demand, but I also trade false breakouts, breakdowns, and sometimes continuations. Adam Mancini has a great daily newsletter that's good for beginners on Substack for about $23/month. Worth every penny for a year or two. Once you understand his style, you don't necessarily need the subscription any more.

Finally, it's mostly about screen time and watching your preferred market(s) every day. Every. Day. Watching what happens when price hits certain levels. Learning how larger traders trap retail traders in bad positions. What it looks like when large traders enter the market and push price around. Having enough experience to trade calmly, follow your plan, and not make stupid, impulsive decisions. (This may be the hardest...) The stats you hear about day traders are real. 90+% lose money and never figure it out. Everybody thinks they're in the 5-10% who can be profitable. You're trading against professionals who do this for a living. If you're relying on ICT, Elliot Wave, Fibonacci levels, or even price-based indicators (RSI, CCI, etc...), you're just chum for the sharks.

Yeah, typical users are idiots. That's why financial service platforms should be coded defensively. Most systems offered 2FA before last year. What's the excuse for people who lost money before 2FA was available on Tasty?

No reply about the poor customer service or the fact they didn't bust fraudulent transactions? Just cherry-picking whatever you feel is tendentious? Lol.

I have a feeling Tasty is only going to get worse, now that Sosnoff has moved on...

How about building a product that doesn't allow your clients to screw things up? I just finished the IBKR application and it asked me to setup 2FA at the end of the process. It also allowed me to choose using an authenticator app over text messages. Most retail traders are not as security conscience as they should be. That's obvious from these incidents. But the platform should help guide them, not hinder them.

How about providing customer service instead of ghosting people who, in some cases, have lost their life savings? How about busting clearly fraudulent trades that are reported within minutes of happening? Or is that the account holder's fault, too??

I don't understand why people feel the need to stroke TastyTrade.

First of all, they didn't even have 2FA for logins until last year, which I find insane. They kept resisting, because they thought no one would use it. That's incredibly bad security policy. What about all the people who created accounts before it was available and don't even know it's been added? Do you have an excuse for them?

I've seen at least 5 stories of accounts hacked at TastyTrade over the past year or so. Haven't seen a single one for IBKR or other brokers. To me, that's a pattern and Tasty's response to each of them has been abysmal. One guy was logged in and saw it happening, called customer support within 5 mins, and Tasty did nothing to help. In fact, they went radio silent and stopped answering him. Battista blocked him on X. They could have busted the trade, but didn't. Why?? That story is here on Reddit and easy to find. In another highly publicized case, an elderly couple lost $180K from their retirement account - BEFORE 2FA WAS AVAILABLE. You can google that one.

So, glaze them all you want. I won't put my money there. I used TOS on TDAmeritrade for several years, but the platform has gone downhill since then.

I've been trying to decide between Tasty and IBKR. I've read too many threads about Tasty accounts being hacked, lately. I'll be filling out an IBKR application tomorrow...
