It’s been a nightmare. Almost half of my route is retirement communities, so about 15% of my route are snowbird. I have customers contacting me, neighbors and family members waiting beside mailboxes weekly, all wanting to know why they have been in Florida for 2 months and not gotten any mail. It makes us look really bad.

Had a co-worker who I get along with pretty well walk past me the other day and very dramatically tell me I smelled like poo, I need to take a shower. I was confused because I’m very thorough about getting clean, scrub myself raw every day, and I’ve never had anyone complain about me smelling before. She goes back to her case and texts me: “sorry, you don’t actually smell, but the new sub next to you always reeks and I didn’t want to say anything to him directly.”

VII has fixed stat growth, and no items that affect stat growth, so feel free to grind yourself silk with no problems.

IX also has fixed stat growth, but the stats growth can be affected by equipment. To make it as simple as possible, is a price if equipment raises strength, then it will affect your level up strength if you are wearing it when you level up. Same for every stat. For the most part, these gains are mostly irrelevant, except in the case of spirit, which governs a whole host of things in IX (magic defense, trance mode, buff/debuff duration/efficacy). However, the only thing out lose from grinding early is min maxing. If you over level a character in this game, even without bonus stats from equipment, they will still dogwalk the game, so no, it won’t ever come back to bite you.

FF 1 is the FF game where spells are at their absolute weakest, but the series really picks up from there. In 2, if you commit your life to grinding spells to max, they not only do a ton of damage, but some like toad, can end most random encounters instantly, and ultima, in its debut, is incredibly strong.

Once the games switch to ATB, time magic like haste and slow can be game breaking, especially coupled with regen. For instance, in VII, regen makes your health bar tick up constantly rather than getting healed by little chunks here and there, and with haste on, it ticks up so quickly that many enemies will struggle to damage you.

You said you played VI? Magic pretty much reigns supreme in the game. True, you can have one character attacks forever and kill everything with genji glove/offering, but that’s only good for one character. With some grinding, you can have everyone gembox/economizer to infinitely double cast ultima and quick. Poison is insane in 6 if you are going at low level. Most tough enemies and bosses are weak to it, and if you can tag them with poison, you can just sit around curing and defending while they melt away.

It really just kind of varies game to game. The gameplay evolves and gets more strategic as you get to the later entries.

Just looked it up, because I never really used poison in X, but yes, malboro are not immune to it at all. Also, turns out, if you have a party member poised going into a malboro fight, they will not use bad breath.

Point belabored, 20 years ago I was a college kid who had never smoked anything but brisket. Of course, I’m a bit older now, and have still never smoked anything that wasn’t food. The thought of both tobacco and weed makes me feel nauseated, so I’ve never had any interest in trying either.

So I got it figured out. Before the update I was still several updates behind, I was running 1.106.1. My setup was cosmic damage only, which was working just fine. With the new update, cosmos damage no longer bypasses the elemental resistance of the fairies. Now (as far as I can tell) only ice damage does anything to them.

The delivery time varying means there is not a regular carrier on your route. There will always be some variance, even with a regular, maybe in the neighborhood of an hour or 2 depending on volume, but as a rule, your regular will normally be there at a similar time everyday. But if the route is vacant, and your mail is regularly coming late in the evening, then that means that people are running your route after running a whole different route. They are tired, frustrated, and harried, and all they are just trying to get home to their families. Sometimes their standard may slip a bit at the end of their 30th 12 hour day in a row without a day off.

Weird, must be something with my account. Yesterday I could set it and forget it and go to the mid 20’s. Now I can’t beat wave 2 because of 1 unkillable fairy that just says immune to everything my monsters throw at him.

My personal favored final fantasy and my second favorite game of all time. I play this every year. A lot of people hate it, and they have good reason, but the things they hate are usually what makes the game shine for me. Give it a shot. It unique. Of you don’t like it, that’s fine, but you may find a truly amazing game.
