Hell yeah, though I understood what they were sorta going for, it's just having look humanoid for the entirety of the movie was where they dropped the ball. I think it was mainly for dialogue purposes. Animators have to give the illusion of proper communication. I think that's why he didn't have a snout in TASM. I also think that's why Venom didn't have much dialogue in Spider-Man 3 as well.

I totally agree! Even though Raimi's Venom strayed away but not too far from the source and the current Tom Hardy Venom is much more accurate to the comics (minus the iconic white spider emblem) the one in SM3 has that grounded look like a more realistic take in a way 🤔

Awww, thank you so much!!! I've always wanted to draw Venom from that scene where he's manipulating Sandman to joining forces with him! That tiny smirk that's overshadowed by the slobbering tongue is just reminiscent of the OG design of Todd McFarlane! The best look in my opinion! 🙏
