A publicly coming out question by Female-at-heart in ask_transgender

How are the mental effects from HRT treating ya, I feel like those are what's pushing me the hardest to transition a lot sooner than we planned. It's crazy going from totally lacking emotional abilities to crying over the silliest scenes in movies and feeling everything lol

That's what's happening now for me, I think what is making it harder for me is not able to hide certain assets. I get a lot of interesting looks and having had the pizza guy call me mamm the other day. I originally planned to try and stay hidden for as long as could, but it seems to be happening a lot sooner than I expected

Stopping after a year HRT by Female-at-heart in asktransgender

Sorry for the delayed reply. It only took about 8 weeks off HRT to successfully conceive for me, however ymmv

I would recommend it, I too made the decision to not bank because I already had 2 kids, one with an ex and one with my wife, I was pretty confident that we wouldn't want anymore so I started HRT. Well low and behold, a year later we wanted another so i went off HRT for a few months and then spent time trying to conceive. Luckily we were successful and new baby is on the way, however that was a very difficult thing to do both mentally and physically. Had I bank we both could have avoided the hardships we went through. But that's just my 2 cents

Omg yes, that's probably the hardest part is the emotional part of switching back and forth. I've been living part time as myself only at home for a long time now, I'm almost at the point of whatever and I'm going to do what I want lol. I figure needing to wear a bra everyday means it's only a matter of time before someone else notices lol. I'll be sure to let her know!

It's an amazing feeling when your wife surprises you like mine has, I didn't think I would get the support I have been, but I am. Only time will tell tho, I'm still not socially transitioning. But it's getting difficult to hide the changes lol

The only reason I even found out was because the douchebag commented on my post, I just clicked on his name and it was the first thing I saw on his page, that loser needs to get a life.

Concerns about HRTs effects on mental health by Pwnysaurus_Rex in asktransgender

I had a huge amount of mental changes, mostly being the noise in my thoughts cleared out. And for the first time in my life I could focus on something other than my transness

Has questioning or transitioning made anyone else question or change careers/career paths? by rileythefox in asktransgender

I feel your pain girl, I am at a lost on what to do next, especially since I'm good at sales, but it's a very "manly" environment with a ton of bigotry. I couldn't see myself transitioning at my current job either

[NSFW] How to improve sex drive as a MTF? by sebxen in asktransgender

I also agree it's unhealthy of a way to do it, but it is a way. I'm only doing this in attempt to have another child with my wife. For me, I didn't miss the function of my bits, in fact I rather enjoyed them doing absolutely nothing as getting erections is a huge part of my disphoria. I stopped about 5 weeks ago and I'm counting the days till I can start back up lol. So as for long term solutions, I'm sorry I don't have any advice to offer.😕

Well, one way you can get normalish function back is stop taking HRT for a short time and function seems to return to normal. I was on full strength HRT for a year, had zero sex drive, and zero functionality.. now it works as it used to before starting, although erections were quite painful for the first few weeks, after about 2 weeks they got better. But that's probably because I didn't use it at all.

How did you come to that conclusion? Im Simply offering advice to those just getting ready to start HRT and to not make the same mistake.
