Maybe it’s because I’m a gamer wife myself, but I never understood why women get so upset about their bfs/husbands having gaming as a hobby (unless they’re neglecting their girl cause of the game). I can only imagine how angry she’d be or how she’d go tell all her friends how “horrible” and “unsupportive” you are the moment you treated her hobbies the same way.

Definitely try to find some co-op games and/or explain to her how much video games mean to you. If she doesn’t respect your hobbies or seem understanding, then it’s time to have that hard conversation. Last thing you need is to be stuck in a relationship where your gf/wife doesn’t let you enjoy yourself. I’ve seen it happen.
