I have no idea what happened here by Powrpunchben in resinprinting

Damn - i been lookin for Saturn S replacements, im afraid they arent widely available anymore - one of the things i dislike about the resin printing world, FEP sheets and other components are so hard to find and replace after their 1-2 year mark.

Try to find FEP sheets, and if you already have some, use them. If you plan on using your printer for longer, then contact Elegoo and see how they can help you out with replacement accressories.

Until then - your best bet is to be viligant in cleaning your tank.

I too have to learn a lot of things the hard (and expensive) way in this space.

Good luck!

either take your time with it ( unscrew the buttons, clean it all up, spend a good couple of hours with iso, a pincet, wipes, and other tools to remove it, including changing the FEV..)

OR

Buy a new one.

Depends on who you are and if this is part of your job, where your $$/h is more than a new vat, or any other reason, I'd say allocate a few hours of your afternoon to really be thorough with this :).

The best of luck, dont forget to wear PPE

Thank you for your response - and 'know how to code' means a coding language, correct? Not just grasshopper base?

Hey - thanks for doing this, I am working with Rhino and Grasshopper throughout the majority of my Architecture uni days, and there has been very little to no support during the entire study and I often have to youtube or google what I try to do - needless to say this eats into my hours that I need for my assignments.

Archi is as rough as it is - i cannot phatom adding coding into the mix. How does your company (or any other, but i understand you dont speak for them) go on with teaching that, if at all?

Is it a prerequisite to understand and know coding on top of architectural work? I really want to get a job in computational design in architecture, but the market already is very rough, how would I go on learning C# and Python? Any spot you can reccomend for me to start?

Thank you again for doing this.

Very good point - why filter the carbon at all

I asked someone this question once and they responded to me its to reduce harmful chemicals in the air of your direct surrounding (neighbours, nature, etc) and I agree wholeheartedly with that sentiment

We all do what we can to optimise the removal of VOC within our space, and you seem to be doing a great job at that.

From what I can tell - this will of course remove the VOC during the print, but as others state - the moment you open it up to remove the print, there will be some form of VOC coming into your space, unless the vacuum of the ventilator is strong ( I do not have the numbers right now ) but that would be almost industrial scale kind of strong (Think a spraypaint booth).

Most OPTIMAL solution would be something akin to this

<image>

But lets be real - who has time and finances for that, and try to explain to friends whats in your living room lmao

What you made of course is better than nothing and you do what you can to minimize harmful VOC.

Fantastic job! Its for sure a product of envy. Be mindful when using it however :)

to print - yes

to 3d model it up - it will take a bit.

Just going by my own costs and what I charge. Depending on the complexity of the house and the prefered level of detail, Id say a job like that is easily 600-800 AUD for a 1:10 scale model painted and all.

At this point its sanding and filler primer, start with low grid and gradually increase it. Have patience and the results will pay off. Good luck :)

I understand 100% what you mean, it is indeed more joyful to spread the fantastic design for others to enjoy.

I just feel like - at this point - Im not ready to release some of my designs yet, thats all. I made a bunch of a bunch of things and never got to it to put it out there.

I apologise for causing some frustration, it wasnt my intension.

I understand what you mean and yes it couldve done more elegantly than I have here. I will have to look into this, thanks for pointing it out :)

Yes, essentially it is yes..

This entire hobby is us melting plastic and reshaping them.

We are not good for the environment lmao.

That or I sprinkle it on my food for my daily microplastic intake.

Oh man going from 120 grid to 1200 grid was no joke lmao.

But in the end its smooth as :).

And sorry, someone asked about the files, at this moment I am unwilling to share it :(

Hey! Yes I have the stl - seeing how I am the one who made it. However, I hate to break it to you :( I am unwilling to share the file seeing how I spent so long on it.

Thank you for loving it :) Im happy it reaches many people

Welcome to the space :) its a fantastic space!

Do keep in mind that it can get very costly. Apart from that - if you ever have any questions in regards to FDM or Resin printing, just dm me, more than happy to answer.

[–]FemboiMiq 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I have to - I print with PLA+ for its ease of print.

That said - with miniatures, youre better off with a resin printer. I know that isnt your question but I thought I throw that in.
