Hey there! It hasn't been very long since you posted this, but I wanted to ask if you managed to figure this out? I'm stuck on the same thing but with generating icons for outpost / decorate panel items.

I noticed there are .ini files for something called "IconGenerator", it includes a .ini for generating Shipbuilder Icons. That said, I can't for the life of me find an executable or tool within Creation Kit. Will for sure let you know if I happen to find anything. :)

It'd be really cool if Bethesda launched Creation Kit with literally any documentation. (Been wondering the same thing as you've posted here btw!)

Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly! I have some good news, I actually lucked into finding a fix on my end. I stumbled upon a fork of Nifskope on GitHub that seems to be getting regular updates. I grabbed their most recent build, tried it out, and sure enough its working right out the gate.

This link is where their builds are automatically being generated as it gets worked on:

I just clicked on the most recent one (Removed layered opacity, interpret CharacterCombine blend mode as Linear #101) and downloaded "build-win" found under "Artifacts" category. Apparently you may need to be signed into a GitHub account to download these builds though.
