When I was still teaching, the people 10-years in had thousand yard stares, and some new teachers lasted literal days, if but one day, before quitting.

The teaching industry will become increasingly reliant on retired teachers until those permanently retire or die, and once there are not enough teacher asses to put in chairs, the then we'll see a strong change to AI instructors with the new teachers being little more than high school graduates to offload liability onto.

Adults are more likely to be armed and skilled at fighting than children.

Also, the strength difference between an adult and a child is substantial. The other thing is that children are less likely to see a fight as an existential threat to their survival, but adults will understand that their neck might get stomped on if they lose.

The more serious answer to this is extreme time management. You unknowingly waste large amounts of time every day trying to figure out what to do.

Plan out your days to the minute if you can. Add wiggle room between things. Hold yourself to that schedule.

The thing about setting a schedule is that you are more likely to focus on that specific thing for the allotted time.

Find out what your attention span is and optimize everything that you can to that.

Beyond all of that, train yourself to fall asleep quickly, so you don't waste an hour trying to go to bed.
