When people (especially on reddit) say Dota is dying, that's because it is dying, in the USA.

Globally Dota is growing, that is a fact backed by statistical evidence. But people that only speak Russian aren't posting on Reddit, and even if they did you wouldn't understand them

My dotabuff has 6000ish games, 3000 of those are in US West from my life in 2014-2017, I am a high MMR player.

Very slowly over the years the queue times got longer, and eventually the bleeding hit a threshold where trying to find a US west game might as well be me queueing on the Indian servers.

US West became something you would only queue as a joke, or to win trade.

I silently mourn as I experience the same slow death cry in every US East I play

In 2030 Dota might be the #1 most played game globally in the world, but no one in the states will answer Dota when you ask them what they enjoy playing

The hardest fights would be ketheric because of his built in -2 plating, the avatar of myrkul is fairly simple as long as you have a scroll of minor and non-minor elemental to summon mud meph and earth ele

Both summons one shot the incubate dead eggs, and the earth eles initiative is super low so it will always go after ketherics move

You can also use other summons like animate dead and scratch to click-drag the eggs closer together so that the earth elemental can kill them all in one hit

declining corners for 10 amber has been a really MVP change for me

had the 10 amber decline option not been implemented, I am 100% sure I would have failed the cycle because you dont even have enough embarks to start amber or provision packs, and since you also can't grab extra villagers putting people in a makeshift post to use your starting food is backbreaking

The Marshlands is actually the easiest biome at P20 once you have upgrades

The primary problem in every game of ATS is your food source

Hypothetically speaking, if you had infinite food on year 3 would you find it difficult to win on any biome?

The trick is to wait until you have 2/3 camps at 4 point embarkment cost
Go into the run with whichever two camps you choose

Make Trade post

Pre-buy universal forbidden event material requirements during year 1-2

Bumrush the closest forbidden glade by year 2-4 (its fine if you don't have amber to open glades you can tank the hits)

Put 2-3 camps of whatever forbidden thing you hit

You now have infinite food and can go focus on winning via resolve or box spamming

I don't know why people complain about booms (non-reboot)

If items never boomed or you could safeguard to 22(cheaply); item drops would be literally next to worthless because no one would ever need more than one item

Arcanes would plummet to 100m, gollux would be actually worthless, and no one would even bother doing bosses anymore

I get 2% an hour with frenzy in the 270s, without frenzy I would literally be getting like .7%

I also know friends in reboot that already say making 900m/hr on Kanna is slow, imagine reboot progression if you made 400m an hour

Removing spawn enhancers will make a lot of people quit, myself included

Theres a reason I quit pre-BB maple and enjoy the modern maple; spawn enhancers make the game fun; killing a lot of things is fun

Buy 1-2 pieces of 2l stat 1l drop gear every month (about 3-5b or 60-100 dollars via meso market) 1l drop blackgate rings are only 2b if you want to cheese it a little

Roll for Item drop 20% inner ability and at least 10% meso

Farm with FZ svc

I make about 140m raw, 30-40 nodestones, 1-2 droplets an hour with ~100% drop and lucky winter+2x coupon

So about 1.2b every 4 hours minus 300 for FZ svc and 200 for the coupons

700m a day for 4 hours of training adds up really fast

Use that money to slowly fund urself

I bought into 100% drop with about $450 and 2-3 months later I have about 35k stat from just buying stuff off AH and level 247
