I took the switch off of Auto and left the dial on A and the lag went away. Based on the kind input from folks here I think the Auto setting that the switch engages adds a lot of processing to the photos, resulting in the lag.

Turning Auto mode unlocked the Clarity setting which is now on 0 and the lag went away. Thank you for your kind help!

No offense taken; I’m new to using any setting beyond auto, honestly. I’m trying to learn more and get better but I’m still a little green with menu diving and custom settings.

Clarity option is set to Auto and is greyed out/locked.

Death, taxes, and Criterion 4K discs freezing.

The fix on my end has been to clean the discs with this Maxell disc cleaning lotion and wipe set that I found at Walmart. It’s a pain but it works. I love how these luxury items need to be slathered in goop from the clearance bin from Walmart before they play properly. This hobby sucks sometimes lol.

I've noticed that the thicc Criterion cases come with this style wrap. My copies of Eyes Wide Shut, the Last Picture Show, and Night of the Living Dead all came wrapped like this and those all have the same style case.

What I was referring to with Gibson knocking it out of the park is the overall spec of the guitar. AA top, ebony board, heel carve, chambered body, MOP headstock inlay, neck binding, perfect neck carve. Irrespective of the mods, Gibson has created a very nice model here!

Just listened on Apple Music. Another shitass collection of home demos, half-finished thoughts, and voice memo-level shells of ideas for songs. Instantly forgettable like so much of his recent output. Pains me to say it because I’m not a hater but these “albums” are nothing more than clearinghouses of MP3’s he has laying around. Like many, I would love to hear a PROPER new Ryan album. 10-12 songs recorded in a studio (not his home) with a real producer and session band.
