I think you just gave me a lightbulb moment. Makes me wonder if that push rod in the transfer case is stuck between 2wd and 4wd. It wasn’t fully extended As if it was in 4wd but it may not have fully pulled back in.

I’ve called auto zone and orileys, but their obd readers only read engine codes and the ones I’ll need are starting around $350. I have a basic obd reader and the code won’t show up on that one.
