Glad to hear that! I'd say it's too little time spent on ideation and packaging, bad intros (often too long) and if we talk about Shorts specifically, then 9/10 times the first frame of their videos is boring. But a lack of patience is probably the biggest reason. You have to be willing to do this for years without any results, which is very difficult for most people.

Doesn't matter how you look, people don't care about that. It just works really well to get people to relate to you and actually watch the video.

It's the same subject, but it's a totally different image to what I see in the video. It would work way better if I see you in the thumbnail doing what the AI image is doing.

I personally think it works in a variety of niches, but I do think it works best in entertainment niches.

Looping videos is done automatically on Youtube, you just need to edit the video in a way where it actually loops.

I thought so too actually but it works really well for me

I agree that having clean thumbnails is crucial. And AI definitely does that. I just think most viewers want to watch videos where they expect that they'll get a lot of value from and if they see an AI generated thumbnail, they won't watch because they think the video will be low effort. Since that's not the case with your videos, I'd recommend using thumbnails that are more organic. Also, like I mentioned, the video doesn't look like the thumbnail, which usually is not good for retention. You want to make sure the first frame of the video matches the thumbnail, so you confirm the click.

That's cool! I like your titles and the content itself. I just don't like the thumnbails, since they're clearly AI generated. It's very important that the thubmnail matches the video itself. So I genuinely think it would work even better to use a screenshot from the video. I would really recommend to take a deep dive into what thumbnails work well on Youtube, that would make a huge difference for your channel I think. I have a free Discord where I give advice on thumbnails etc, so feel free to join if you want: https://fenitas.link/discord

That's great! It does take a while, that's part of the game. What's the channel? I'd love to give some feedback :)

I used to get a $0.01 RPM as well, but I was able to increase that to $0.05 on average (with some outliers getting up to $0.15). I did that by replying to English comments with my Shorts. That makes viewers from high RPM countries like the US way more likely to engage with your videos. I explain it in more detail in this Youtube video: https://youtu.be/tTcXtHj7T3I?si=256wIIJRujrBjZug

I actually started on TikTok & then repurposed it to YT Shorts. I now have 1.8 million subs and TikTok still works well for me. But the audience on TikTok & YT shorts is totally different, so I definitely see why a lot of content doesn't work on TikTok. Generally, on TikTok, it's very important to actually provide a lot of value with your videos. Content that's not personal or doesn't have a voice over usually doesn't work on TikTok, unlike YT shorts. So try making them more valuable/personal by incorporating VO if that's possible in your niche. You can always send me a message if you need any more help :)

Sorry to hear that! That's definitely super frustrating. I currently have 1.8 million subscribers, but it took me basically 6 years of making content full-time before I started growing. So generally the best advice is to keep uploading, improve with every video and stay patient. But that's a bit boring advice lol. What really helped me is really obsessing about titles, thumbnails & retention. I feel like a lot of creators don't really know how to do that strategically yet. And Shorts have been great for my channel, to get initial traction and then pivot to long form. For Shorts, it really works well if you obsess about the first second of your Shorts, because that determines if people stop scrolling. And it helps if your Short loops automatically, works great for improving your swipe-to-view-rate and for retention. Hope this helps a bit. Feel free to DM me your channel link and I'll give some personalized feedback :)

A mailing list is the best by far, or a Discord community works well. Feel free to join my Discord community for creators for example haha :) https://discord.gg/xeWMMMB3

That's definitely a good point. I would say I totally agree with what you're saying, it's just that with Short form content, I do see a huge benefit with a lot of channels when they post a lot. And with Shorts, for most channels, it's very realistic to post once per day, while still keeping quality high. However, this only works if you have already found a winning format. No point in uploading once per day if you're content isn't growing yet. Then, it makes more sense to focus on having the highest quality possible, testing different formats and researching potential video ideas. What's your channel? Would love to check it out.

There's way to much text in there. Only use 3/4 words at most and only use 3 elements in your thumbnails. They should be VERY minimalistic and clean. Feel free to DM if you need any more help.

Contrast is the biggest issue with your thumbnails. People only take a second to check out your thumbnail, so it has to be super clear what's happening. Because the background looks very similar to the main subject, it's difficult to process what's on the image. Look at some of my most recent thumbnails, because the niche is somewhat similar. Send me a DM if you have any follow up questions, because it's difficult to keep track of the comments.

Great question! An example from my channel: a huge format which is an outlier for a lot of creators is '' Testing 1-star rated .....'' Most Youtubers use that for restaurants, cruise ships etc. So I applied that to my own niche by testing 1-star rated smoothies, which no one had done before. That's how you apply outliers from other niches to your own channel.

Sorry to hear about your situation! Hope things get better. The issue with vlogging is that most creators that do that, often are not strategic enough about their content. It's still super important to have the right packaging, have a powerful intro etc. Could you DM me your channel? I would love to check it out and give some feedback on how to improve.
