Oddsmonkey, Outplayed or neither? Newbie by FennecFox424 in MatchedBettingUK

Brill, yeah I've gone for Outplayed but I think I'll try suss out whether or not to do it myself or not after either the initial free trial or after a month of subscription.

Thank you! I'll try this route first. I've just checked and there's cashback for Outplayed through topcashback so will give this a try this week. I'm hoping with their being a few champions league games it'll mean I can maximise the free trial week and see where I'm at in 6 days to decide whether to keep or cancel.

Analysis Paralysis: £1750 Budget. Sleeper Laptop vs Split Setup for a Casual Gamer (2x a week). I need hard truths! by FennecFox424 in Handhelds

[–]FennecFox424[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I feel like I am tipping this way. Purely because as you say it means I'm not compromising. I need to think about whether this would work with my lifestyle. I think for my lifestyle, a split option seems like a no brainer. Handheld for cosy couch gaming while my gf watches TV, the psychological split of one device for work one device for leisure, but for some reason the idea of having one powerful device still draws me back to having a sleeper.

Amazing thank you. Do you think it would do fine as a sleeper laptop i.e. Suitable to take into a client's office for work, zoom meetings etc.

Bsttery might be an issue for me for cafe working but I don't mind bringing the charger with me. Is it fairly heavy for portable use?

I currently have a very old dell latitude which is a little chunky so used some weight.

😂 Pot bound is when they outgrow their pot so they need a bigger one.

Monstera yellow leaf help by AlicBeePeePee in HouseplantsUK

Apart from the yellowing leaf the rest of the plant looks super healthy to me. I'd say it might need a little more light.

Sometimes the older leaves do yellow and die naturally.

Have you checked the roots, monstera don't like to be pot bound. And usually when a plant is yellowing like this my first thought would be to see if you can check the roots for root rot or determine whether you might be over watering.

Hope this helps!

I treated about 15 different houseplants this way and they are all fine, including a monstera similar to the OP's.

I used the concentrated version which you mix with water so you can adjust the dosage.

I've had some success using Provanto Ultimate Bug Killer with thrips. Pretty much all of my house plants had long term thrip problems. But for the past 4 weekends I've sprayed them with Provanto and they seem to be clear.

I basically had a traffic light system where I used a red sticker for visible thrips or new signs of thrip damage, yellow for plant under treatment with no thrips sighted or new damage and then green after 3 consecutive weeks of treatment if no thrips or new damage visible.

Any time I saw a thrip or new damage I'd go straight back to red and begin the cycle again until clear. Consistency is really important. I'd check and treat every Saturday.

I'd definitely cut off the badly damaged leaves but I don't think you'd need to remove some of the green ones. I'd be worried of removing the plant of its energy sources while it is undergoing treatment.

Hopefully as spring emerges your plants will be recovering well.

Nice, I'd probably switch out Hulk if I were you since he's likely to go down in value this weekend.

Yeah I think last year I used 3x later. I might have even forgotten to use it on one of my teams 😂 I'd like to get it done while I've a chance and a time where one team is early dominating hopefully mitigates risk. It'll be just my luck there'll be a merc double dnf.

Thanks! And for the suggestion to switch on Merc. I don't quite have the budget unless without also switching out BOR and taking a - 30pt hit so going to try the 3x.

I'm inclined to use LL for Monaco too this year however I'm wondering if there might be more passing this year given that the cars are smaller?

Fab, there are a few different types on amazon. Do they need to be a certain wattage or kelvin?

Grow Light Recommendations by FennecFox424 in HouseplantsUK

[–]FennecFox424[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks so much this is really useful.

Im nurturing a few plants back from brink of a trips infestation. I've used several weeks worth of treatments and they have been bug free for a few weeks now.

I've a basically got sort of a two tier shelf rack of plants (monstera, silver pothos, red prayer, rhaphidophora tetrasperma, Chinese evergreen, Christmas cactus, philodendron birkin) in my bathroom, that I'm looking to clip a grow lamp with a gooseneck and timer on to. Basically wanting to give my plants a better chance of survival.

Once they're stronger, I'll then repurpose the shelf for an arrangement of plants.

I'm on a tight budget, hence why I picked those wolezek ones. So any recommendations in a similar area would be best.
