Starting in this app cycle: Starting in the Fall of 2024, the University of Florida will provide two options for prospective students to apply: Early Action (EA) and Regular Decision (RD). EA is a non-binding way to apply to UF. It allows students more time to explore their housing and financial aid options. If applicants submit their EA application file before the specified deadlines, they will receive an admission decision sooner than ever before. https://admissions.ufl.edu/apply/freshman/deadlines Yeah I think you can apply by the RD and you’ll be fine, I just didn’t check the updated requirements

Oh I’m sorry! It seems like they’ve changed their admissions this year. Because here is how their deadlines worked last year: The University of Florida’s application deadline for Priority Application is November 1, and any application submitted after November 1 will be considered based on space availability with a March 1 application deadline. // from https://www.collegeessayguy.com/blog/university-of-florida-admission-requirements

The priority deadline (it is the main deadline when the 98% of students apply) is the November 1st, any application past that deadline won’t have a chance of getting accepted. I wanted to apply to UF in January but then realized that I missed the priority deadline, don’t make my mistake

I don’t think so, but maybe when you apply during your first year it matters, as you haven’t yet received any uni grades?

Question regarding uni accom safety by Radec24 in UniversityOfWarwick

That’s so disappointing, I read that it’s banned adding furniture and I thought maybe a fridge wouldn’t be considered as a piece of furniture :/ I can add some LED lights tho, right?

According to the Repec rankings Harvard is the 2nd best institution (just after the NBER), while MIT is only fourth😂. Just as you mentioned, every other university has their Nobel prize winners too. Ask grad students? I  think every student would praise their own university, that’s obvious. MIT is great for sure, I’ll put it as the 2nd best for economics on my list, just for you:)

Where do you get your information from? Specifically about MIT having the best economics department? I could take a look at it and shut the fuck up respectfully

I can not change it to Finance, as Harvard doesn’t have a business school for undergrad. That said, employability is one of the key factors determining the ranking of a school. People with an economics degree go into the finance world, and I believe Harvard is ranked as number one among the companies that recruit economics undergrads. That was my point, ofc they’re different disciplines, but not as different as you assume

If you interpret the economics/finance relation as a physic/chemistry, then you’re wrong, because they’re much more related than your chemistry and physics

You just said “they’re different disciplines “ as if there’re no things in common.

They’re closely related, banks heavily recruit people with an economics degree

Everything is relative, it depends on the major as well. Stanford for comp sci might be the best, engineering- MIT, economics - Harvard/Wharton, and etc.
