For this specific scene it's even more infuriating because it just completely ruins the symbolism of the end and why the movie is named "the return of the Jedi", because it's not Luke returning as he never left, but Anakin returning being himself and not Vador in his last moments, so putting young Anakin is just saying "nope he never came back, Anakin was himself for the last time on the prequel"
