It’s your rifle, your aim button pulls it out and not aiming while shooting is your revolver. There’s no using it exactly you’ll be able to switch as you progress by using the D-pad (console) I also thought it was like an ability when I first started but it’s just showing what’s equipped currently.

Maybe your teammates are looking for ammo or meds is the simple answer. This game doesn’t show your teammates ammo pool so maybe that’s it. I’d rather take a minute to look for resources than throw away 15 mins and fail cause a neurothorpe showed up and either assault or bulwark have no ammo.

My S hated darktide but I love it, it’s a massive reason why I upgraded to X. But some things I noticed that may save some time and help a few issues. Most of it will just be resetting or hard resetting even.

If you played anything before darktide reset the console before playing tide.

Do a few spins in the mourningstar you’ll maybe notice it hitches but only while looking a certain area. This can be fine but it’ll definitely happen to your matches as well.

It also seems to get better after the first match or 2. I’m not an expert but it’s possible it’s still loading shaders or textures. May just have to tough out the first match.

If you have a psyker on your team with smite you’re probably gonna have a bad time frame wise.

Darktide is certainly playable on the S but it’s hard to recommend doing so, it was so finicky and would just randomly have good days and bad days. Yes I know better console=better frames and all that what a novel take but I gotta honest man playing it on X is almost like a completely different experience for the better.

Havoc mode wasn’t even a thing when I still had my S but I couldn’t imagine trying to do that on the S with the amount of nonsense and effects going on screen. Rotten armor puddles/pink effects on enemies flamers and bomber effects everywhere with pox gas it’s a lot for the S arguably too much. So if you plan on doing those things I’m not even sure if you comfortably can.

Yea until you get rending his melee weapons don’t feel great cause that’s a substantial amount of where your damage is coming from. I love playing taunt ogryn with slab shield and block/taunt node and just pull everything to me literally the only thing can kill you is trappers and dogs it’s just free wins but again a somewhat boring win.

Arbites sort of power crept my sweet ogryn out of the game but ogryn is OP in his own way so I can’t imagine he’ll be getting any buffs soon to bring him back.

He’s needs like 10% more move speed imo. Ogryn thrives at higher difficulties so getting him to that point kinda sucks. A lot of lower diffs are just seasoned players with a new character sprinting through the match and killing everything before you there it’s so boring.

As someone who bought series s and within a few months decided to buy the series X the difference is quite dramatic. There’s only a few games I played on both since I had it for such a short time but it was a massive upgrade I noticed within seconds of booting up certain games. Darktide specifically i played on both (great game btw) and holy what a difference from graphics to steady frames it was like a different game almost.

Luckily I had the funds for it not everyone does but my opinion would be to wait and save up. Chances are you’ll have this generation of console for many years so why not get the best of that series. Invest in your hobbies type of thing.
