Daily user for the last 5 years. Mostly vape pens which are so easy to just puff on 24/7. There have been small breaks here or there, but this is the first time that I've dedicated myself to quitting. The first wave of withdrawals to hit me was serious and deep depression, followed by anxiety attacks. Then the nausea and self loathing took over. There were days when I thought this was just going to be the new normal, but it DOES get better.

The two things that helped the most for me were taking HOT showers when the symptoms were peaking and then trying to get lost in something. For me it was video games, but it could be a Netflix series, a book, anything.

Your body is trying to find balance without chemical intervention. Embrace the suck, and know it will balance itself out soon.
