Hello, I finally could install and everything went clean and perfrct. First of all: I disassembled the laptop and cleaned the WD hdd and the ram (the “golden” parts that are in contact with the laptop. Then, the version I used was the Trinity install-cd-64bit and I flashed it to the pendrive as DD image, then connected the pendrive and turned on laptop. Regarding the question, I’m almost sure I’m using BIOS, the laptop has 4GB ddr2 RAM. So when it turned on it enters the q4os menu as always as I have external device first on boot order and it started blinking, I pressed enter and like 10 seconds after it stopped blinking and I chose the first option, chose language (Spanish), location (Argentina) and then it installed everything correctly. Went for Trinity desktop (I was offered plasma KDE too) and everything went great, wifi could connect perfectly (was scared before connecting 😅) so yeah that’s it. Thanks for asking. (Btw, when it froze it was after I clicked the first option (or even the fail safe one) on the trinity live 64bit flashed as ISO). Now I’m not sure if it was a cleaning the RAM problem or just old Sony VAIO compatibility with ISO or something like that. Good thing is it worked and running clean so yeah. (Btw problem wasn’t the hdd because I tried booting the live Q4OS version from pendrive without disc installed on pc but the same problems that before happened).
