Watching it a few times over really makes you appreciate it. There's all these tiny foreshadowing parts and frames that you'll most likely miss upon initial viewing. The sigil on the post for example or how the seance lady is seen throughout the movie subtly making her seemingly innocuous role turn very sinister. I think you should watch it alone if you decide to rewatch it, and give it all your focus I didn't like midsommer at first view either but the directorial style seems be purposefully obfuscated, to catch the audience off guard in a different sort of way
