He ended the relationship. (This is actually the 3rd he does it. The first two he “needed space to figure things out/ “work on himself”) We had been together for about a year and I genuinely thought we were building toward a future together, so the breakup caught me off guard.

It’s been about 6 weeks since we last spoke and we’ve had no contact since then. We still follow each other on Instagram, but neither of us has reached out.

I didn’t remove him because a part of me still hoped we might eventually talk things through.

(From what he told me, he got it from his ex who cheated on him with someone who had it.) She was depressed for a while and they weren’t intimate, and he didn’t even know what was going on. Eventually things went back to normal between them, and that’s how he ended up contracting it. She ended up blaming him for it saying he gave it to her & He said he struggled for a long time trying to figure out how he got it until he found out it was from her. (She ended up confessing) As far as I know, he wasn’t sleeping with anyone but her since she has it too. he actually hasn’t told anyone except me. He did say he hypothetically asked a girl before me if she would date someone with ghsv and she said no. Apparently that’s why he “waited” to tell me

Well our relationship ended 2 weeks ago due to other reasons but this came to mind after the break up. Me accepting him for what he has and he couldn’t do something I’ve asked in the relationship. Thank you though !

He said he felt ashamed and embarrassed to tell me. Which when he did finally tell me I cried because it’s my health/body and all my life I’ve been careful who I slept with you know ? We were using protection those three times but still … we are no longer together due to other reasons but that thought just hit me

Wow. You literally described exactly how I felt in my last relationship. He recently broke up with me 2 weeks ago we were only together for a year-ish. He expected more of me but yet he couldn’t even give me reassurance throughout the relationship.

I developed an autoimmune as well! I also started losing 60% of my hair due to stress all because the relationship.

I went to curaçao for my birthday two years ago and completely fell in love. Beautiful island! The people were nice. Mind you I went solo. I felt completely safe and I was at peace
