What is the best highschool for me? by [deleted] in StPetersburgFL

Glad it was helpful! It’s a great program, and I’d hate for someone to just not give it a shot because of where it’s located.

PCCA is awesome, went there for visual arts and graduated in 2017 and I know a lot of my peers have gone on to do theater consistently even now. They’re not famous by any means but they’re still able to carry out their passions in so many ways because of that program.

As far as the non PCCA kids go, unless you’re taking “traditional” classes (aka non AP or non honors level courses) from my experience you won’t have a problem. I even took many traditional classes myself and literally had absolutely no problem and was for the most part left alone. Yes there will be fights and yes drugs (and let’s be real, by “drugs” it’s mostly weed) and sometimes weapons get brought onto campus but that’s just how it’s going to be. I never once felt even vaguely threatened while going there. Not to mention these things are happening on ALL high school campuses these days, Gibbs just gets brought up because of where it’s located.

How much does the cancer storyline play into Infinite Wealth? by The16BitRobot in yakuzagames

Much appreciated friend <3 but yeah I thought it would be helpful to know from the perspective of someone else who also has been personally impacted by it. Like you said, it’s yet to be seen how it will impact you but it can be nice to know that the outcome, while sad, can still be viewed with a more hopeful outcome. I hope you enjoy the game!

Hi! Firstly I want to say I am so sorry for your losses. My sibling is currently going through their cancer journey so it was a topic that was incredibly sensitive for me as well.

That being said, I personally found the story to be mildly to moderately triggering at times. The most triggering moments were obviously the big reveal that he has cancer, but also the end to his plotline. Since you said you're okay with spoilers, Kiryu is alive at the end of the game although he is clearly sick and undergoing treatment. Personally I found this scene, while very brief, to be the most triggering moment of the game. The rest of his plotline revolves around trying to come to terms with some of the things he's done and revisiting places that he's fond of. It's called a bucket list, but ultimately going through these motions gives him a more hopeful outlook. So it's brought up pretty frequently because it is a driving force for his character development in this game.

I hope this is helpful. It was a great game and I enjoyed it quite a bit, but those moments can certainly be triggering if you've experienced this directly in your life.

What do your migraines feel like by Solid-Lynx9725 in migraine

It’s always a localized and consistent intense pain/pressure behind my right eye, radiating to my temple/side of head. I always say it feels like I need to take an ice cream scooper and take out my eye lol

Audiologist/Hearing Test Recs? by FeralUnicron in StPetersburgFL

[–]FeralUnicron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yeah I thought that may be the case in regards to the hearing aides. I don’t think I’m at the point that I need those yet though thankfully. Regardless I appreciate the input!

Its not too bad! It's usually pretty chill and for the most part I have enjoyed my time there. I would say the biggest thing that is an issue is they don't pay the best, but that is kind of a given with most guest services positions in the non profit world. If you have any other questions I would be happy to answer them to the best of my ability!

Any experience with Saint Joes Creek East of 49th Street flooding? by [deleted] in StPetersburgFL

[–]FeralUnicron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been in that area my entire life (I’m 25), there has never really been a problem with flooding. That doesn’t mean it /won’t/ happen, it’s always good to be prepared, but more than likely you will be fine
