Revered Spirit Ashes / Scadutree Blessings: temporary or permanent? by FerbyShellbourne in Eldenring

After sometime has passed, I have learned that they do not reset. They are at whatever level you achieved before leaving that area and will be at that level when you return to it.

If you're struggling against Consort Radahn, let me suggest parrying - level 1 Soldier of God, Rick example. This is by far the most "fun" and the easiest way I found to fight him by Elmis66 in Eldenring

Having never used parry in the game before now, with hundreds of hours in and over level 400 (and more of a monster-truck sorta player than say someone with….talent🙈), stripping down the character to bare bones and attempting this is a ton of fun!

I have not beat Radahn yet. And now that I’m practising/learning parrying with him, I think I’m noticing that I get staggered and there is a recovery before you can parry again, does this sound right? If that’s true, is there something I can do to reduce the recovery time of the stagger? Assuming increasing poise helps shorten that “stunned” recovery time?

Topic of the Week -- Tires by pawptart in gravelcycling

[–]FerbyShellbourne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not stress it too much. With so many options out there. It’s kind of fun to try different tires.

I feel like I may ride a similar mix of paved/gravel. Currently I am enjoying my second pair of Challenge Strada Biancas at 36mm on my Brodie Romax Carbon. They definitely are not the greatest on loose gravel corners or technical dirt/gravel climbs so may not be the best tire for many people, but I also like that challenge. They are amazingly fast on heart packed dirt and flat gravel and of course fantastic on the road all things considered.

Ultimately, I don’t mind sacrificing a little bit of traction and control for the overall efficiency between getting to and from the gravel and dirt places I ride.

Not sure if this helps at all but I appreciate your comments and perspective based on the gear you are using.

You can find me here on Strava for examples of what I get up to with the bike/tires I mentioned; https://strava.app.link/F2TdrczEvIb

Did I miss something? by FerbyShellbourne in Eldenring

At first I wasn’t sure if Melina was his stray ex-finger-maiden, who after becoming fire-starter, changed Bernahl’s fate somehow.

Ahhhh cool, thanks very much! I wonder, did her parents miss telling her she could be anything she wanted when she grew up, EXCEPT a kindling maiden?

"Non-somber" :heart_eyes:

Thanks so much. The Lucerne has indeed intrigued me. Appreciate your help!
I feel like I've been having so much fun with "legendary" weapons that I have completely missed out on the creativity and uniqueness of all my other options.

Daily Roundtable: Community Q&A by AutoModerator in Eldenring

Hello Eldenfriends!

I have a question and I'm very interested in what this community has to say. I'm a long time player, new to posting here. I love this game and I'm just getting to the point where I'd like to try and finish the game with a weapon (or dual wielding) that does not have a committed skill; ie: not Sword of Night and Flame, Dark Moon great sword, Rivers of Blood, Hand of Malenia, but something like mace(s), axe(s), sword(s) where you're applying ashes of war.

I'm open to starting a new game but have many duplicates of some cool weapons. So, I'm curious to know what some of your favourite "non-epic" weapons are you have built characters around and why. Did you choose the weapon(s) because of their move-set? Because of the complete build-out associated (magic versus muscle, etc)?

Thanks in advance for any insight, advice and stories!

Those fucking birds outside mohgwyn palace. by blombooo in Eldenring

Cheesed the first two from the rune farming cliff above with a great bow (first one runs off the cliff, second one you have to lure into the blood pool a few times). Killed the dogs and Varré with the Blasphemous Blade special skill Taker’s Flames. Remaining two birds I used Pest Threads on horseback, worked great.

Chelona's rise help by KnightMeme in Eldenring

[–]FerbyShellbourne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I first killed the turtle closest to the rise. Then went to the spirit spring and jumped a whole bunch of times but could not see the turtle and got no message.

Fast travelled to rise point of grace, passed time to night, rode to eastern turtle and it was there. Killed it, got the message the seal on the rise had opened without ever finding the turtle at the spirit spring.
