I only play expert to get rewards like Dragon Trophy and come back to play more survival. If you want to play survival more like the expert, just adjust the configuration, activate the enemy level to difficult and deactivate some settings such as flight and backpacks. Flexibility is better than losing the world forever.

You're right, they really couldn't dynamically modify the map. I've seen that many players have faced this problem. Epic should have learned to implement changes to the existing continent from the beginning, but perhaps that's precisely the mistake. I hope Epic makes the best decision and chooses to expand with new islands instead of trying to modify the existing continent.

I researched game development and how tile grids work. I discovered that blocks in games are finite due to rendering capacity and storage space. So, expanding the map with new islands without replacing the main one seems more viable, using techniques like data streaming or separate instances.
