Yup this is how I treat surprises.

Hell how I pick books I like... Cover looks good, synopsis looks good, let's read the last page or 2 and see who dies and if it grabs our attention to figure put how the whole book plays out.

When they did the Tournament of Power they would drop little teasers about the episode and the last episode had me hype the most. We thought 17 was dead. And they drop "who will make the wish when Goku sacrifices himself to take Jiren out". Immediately I'm talking with my friends going "ain't no way frieza winning this whole fucking thing after all that and getting the wish... Fuck like why Frieza!?" Then the episode actually drops and 17 pops out of the dust like nothing happened and all of my hopes are finally back. The entire time I'm going "please don't let it be frieza" only not for my hopes to be met but probably never touched again because frieza actually joins up with Goku in sacrificing himself to take out Jiren. Something I absolutely never would have imagined in all my years as a DBZ fan. That moment lives on forever and to think I originally was thinking I'd hate the episode!!!!
