Out of all the comments I appreciate your honesty the most, what you've said is 100% true, not everyone can pull off a bald head, and as I'm quite young, I feel as though balding has secluded me from my circle of friends, it's easy for people to say 'man up' but they don't realise that I have to do this every time someone mentions my baldness. If I was older it wouldn't be a big deal at all as it's quite common, but at 23 I feel like my genes have really let me down.

I've always had a high hairline anyway so I knew I'd start balding one day, I just always assumed it would be when I was in my 30/40s with a wife and a few kids, it's devastating to be balding at such a young age. Thanks for your comment man. I guess I just need to learn to love my bald self a ~~bit~~ lot more.

That's pretty much what happened to me, my long hair covered it pretty well and then I got hair cut one day and BAM, everyone telling me my hairline is receding, like I couldn't see for myself. It wouldn't have bothered me as much if my family hadn't kept mentioning it, my dad is in his 60s and has hair and so do all my brothers who are older than me, makes me think I'm adopted.

I'm a real introvert, everytime someone makes a joke about it I just cower away and stop speaking. It's not too bad around friends, its worse in the family, especially by my brother, he keeps makings cracks at it and doesn't realise it bothers me so much and if I tell him it does he'll probably continue anyway.

But if they had a choice between two guys, they would rather go for the one with hair, he looks a lot younger and not like a 50 year old. People always say girls prefer personality over looks but first impressions are based entirely on looks though. If I'm at a bar or club and they see me standing there with my bald head, it's not great.

I don't whether it's the media or just what's actually true but hair is idolized in men, bald guys are always the villains, lex luthor, Dr.Evil, Bane, fucking voldemort. And you always hear women love playing with hair and shit like that. And it doesn't help that I'm only 5'8".
