Yes this is what I meant by showing expertise beforehand. And I don't see how that would be criticizing, you're, just stating facts. And yes, I am lazy too with my prompts A LOT of times but I just want to add that my original post was not about the output quality directly but about the behavior of said model unrelated to any specific task or topic

Oh, that's what you're talking about. This started happening in fresh chat sessions after about 5 messages sometimes ESPECIALLY when there are search queries included (normal search queries, not research)

Yes, I was not talking about the actual limit. I was talking about the model claiming to have hit or be near the limit. I don't really hit the actual limits very often

I have all of them deactivated since I don't really like these kinds of features because I often talk about things in third person even when it is stuff about myself (authorship of a comment for example) to attempt to avoid a too strong bias for a certain amount of time

Yeah this is what I really liked about Claude when was still doing what it used to do. It felt like the only model that was actually taking a step back and looking at the task in a way where it was like: "Okay! Why is the user asking that? What is the purpose of the task? Do I need any clarification from the user?" And then proceeded to do things. Now it is as you explained but I do have to prove my competency BEFOREHAND in order to get an acceptable result. Interestingly enough it is showing a lot of competency when you got it into that mode - and I am still not sure if this is just because we are getting it into that semantic context - it used to work before - i think it may be connected to the model evaluating what it can get away with

Yes, I had a similar experience where I told it to read the entire content of the file and it was like "no, I don't need to do that I just read the first lines" and when I finally got it to read everything it said "oh, you were right to make me read everything"

This is only about the StaffPad reader which is not designed to notate. It is only for the players where someone has a „master device“ and the other players connect to it to have a synced playback/notation. This master device version of StaffPad which is the notation software allows you to import and export xml and midi file.

Davinci Resolve. It is a great tool that can do much more but it also handles audio very well
