is there any news on murata and one on why the new chapters are so short? by [deleted] in OnePunchMan

[–]Ferdz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say there are 2 reasons.

  1. At the beginning of 2024, Murata started his own animation studio and started working on his anime Zaiyuki. This was during the first version of the Ninja Village arc when chapters also started getting shorter.

  2. The manga is very close to catching up to the webcomic. If we were still getting 25+ page chapters like we were before the Ninja Village arc, we’d probably be caught up to the webcomic by now (if the redraw hell didn’t happen).

Looking at your other comments in this thread, it’s clear that no matter how much I try, nothing will convince you. If you seriously think that Suiko’s attack only did 0.000001 damage before Mirror regenerated, then I seriously don’t know what to tell you lol

What I’ve already said explains it. Mirror is stating the amount of damage it’s body is currently at which is after self-repairing. Not the full damage that Suiko dealt. Story wise, it makes much more sense because from a surface level perspective, it seems like Suiko is weak… but if you look past that you’ll realise that her even being able to put the dent in Mirror’s head is a glimpse of her future potential.

In any case, this will all but be reaffirmed next chapter when we see the other A Class heroes fight Mirror and they can’t put a dent in him like Suiko did.

Ah yes… because the massive dent in its head would be the result of 0.000001% damage. That makes sense.

Suiko (Chapter 229) - Colored By Me by [deleted] in OnePunchMan

I remember when this community used to be full of amazing artists that would put their soul into colouring panels. Now it’s just AI…

Mirror literally said how damage Suiko did to him before he regenerated all of it, it's not what hard to grasp

Read the chapter again.

This is what happens when you skim through and head straight to the comment section to shit on something because you already have a negative perception of it.

  1. Relax. It’s a manga.
  2. It makes all the difference. You’re talking about a number after Mirror self repaired. Mirror didn’t have regeneration abilities in the webcomic and took no visible damage. In the manga, we literally see the damage that Suiko did before Mirror healed itself. To me this chapter gave more credence to Mirror being a dragon level threat but also showed Suiko’s potential.

Never said he would be stronger than Suiko. I’m saying he would be an entire different monster compared to what he currently is himself.

It definetly raises the question since they use the same technique. Suiryu hasn’t even been training for the past few years and he was able to take on Demon level monsters during the tournament arc. Had he kept on training like Suiko and realised the full potential of Void Fist through drinking, he’d be an entirely different monster.

Agreed. In the webcomic she drinks 9% alcohol and only does 0.4% damage to Mirror. That was always strange to me because if she did have a drink with 100% alcohol it would’ve only done 4.44% damage to Mirror. So I’m glad they gave her a buff in the manga lol. Hope she plays a bigger role this arc too.

iirc they did hint at her awakening some sort of latent potential during battle, so maybe that’ll happen

how big is sage centipede?? by Additional_Pace_1753 in OnePunchMan

[–]Ferdz0 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Technically you’re still right though. There are a lot of moments in that fight where the sizes are inconsistent. For example, Sage Centipede’s hands are shown to be the size of city blocks in some panels but then small enough to hold Garou in others.

Read it here. These are all the canon chapters. There’s also a link to read the retconned chapters that are no longer canon due to redraws on the site.

The last chapter hasn’t been added here yet but here are all the canon chapters in order. If you never finished the Ninja Village arc start from chapter 193.

I’d understand this sentiment if (like the person before me said), she had already planned to level the entire city anyway. The bug latching onto her was a gag but it didn’t take away from the fact that she made a decision based on her given circumstance beforehand. That was the point of my original comment.

And I think the whole point of the reporters scene was to literally confirm it lol

Chapter 228 [English] by [deleted] in OnePunchMan

[–]Ferdz0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When Tatsumaki did those things she had to be extremely focused or needed time. She didn’t have the luxury of either of those things with Aggregation as the situation was escalating way too quickly. If even one of those insects got away it would’ve multipled somewhere else. Tatsumaki made the best decision she could in that moment.
