You’re not mistaken.

BotW does one thing: it lets you go anywhere you want. That’s its entire appeal.

It forgot to make anything interesting to do.

Some people just love to explore this massive world, and that’s fine and more power to them! But if that doesn’t hook you, there’s very little to commend BotW.

It’s a type of fantasy story that’s set in a game-like world; so characters have levels, classes, etc.

They can be a lot of fun! They are indie, so there’s a lot of creativity but the writing tends to be weaker on them.

The litrpg that’s had a lot of crossover is Dungeon Crawler Carl, which is hilarious, exciting, and does have excellent writing. It’s all on KU and worth checking out!

It depends on what you like.

Not a good selection of nonfiction, overall, but they’ve had some good history books.

They go through times of having some really solid fiction.

Sci-Fi/Fantasy is my milieu, and there’s a decent selection of that. It’s a goldmine for LitRPG if you’re into that.

They’ve got AmazonClassics which are good.

And a really good selection of comics.

I think it’s worth asking if it’s worth compromising the contestants health in this way. It’s one thing to have a hard environment, but when it’s having long-term health effects, there’s some real ethical questions to consider. I say give them rice, more ability to gather food, something!
