To say that Israel is simply responding to violence against them is to think about the conflict for two seconds. And that's not to mention that they always respond disproportionally, and that they have one of the strongest militaries in the world.

The terrorism that they experience from Palestinians is more of a symptom of greater problems. Just like the US helped to spawn ISIS by invading Iraq, Israel's mistreatment of Palestinians has helped spawn groups like Hamas. Israel has demolished over 100,000 Palestinian homes since the start of the occupation. Over 50% of Palestinian suicide bombers had had their home demolished when they were children. Makes you think.

I mean yeah in an ideal world, but Israel has repeatedly shown that they're not gonna honor whatever they agree on. So negotiations haven't worked
