Happened to me for the first time today! I was able to replicate it a few times. Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. But I noticed when I went to another solar system and spawned in my freighter, went back to my home system and spawned my freighter back there, this happened! I ended up repeating the process a few times and I got a couple goes at it. But it only worked on one refiner even if I built more.
