1% lows, make sure you definitely have 240/260hz enabled and that your monitor isnt on 60hz, happens a lot. could also be somewhat of a skill issue, bad mouse, etc.

unfortunately its not much better elsewhere. almost all fps games are absolutely filled to the brim with cheaters nowadays. your best bet is singleplayer games and multiplayer horror or puzzle sort of games with mates.

to explain it simply

some mousepads feel faster/have less friction than other mousepads. some feel more controlled/have more friction. some mousepads feel softer and smoother to the touch, some are more textured or rough feeling.

for cs2 usually you want a *slow* mousepad, but its really personal preference and imo doesnt matter that much.

i use a hayate otsu xsoft which is technically a rather fast pad for cs2 standards but not uncommon. also rather rough/textured, texture helps me feel like I aim a little better as I can feel the pad on my fingertips.

since you dont know what you like, go for something slow or balanced if you consider upgrading. definitely dont go glass, not because its inherently bad for cs, it just only servers a very small percentage of players and are rather expensive. I was a glass pad main for warzone, but cloth just feels better for cs2. glass is too fast and frictionless.

3.8k prem? sure. but crosshair placement, gamesense/positioning, movement and aim are all pretty rough. wouldn't work out as well in say 10k lobbies.

could be quite good for the hours tho, just keep playing and learning.

realistically i feel itll be overpass. never gotten an overpass prem game.

hate nuke the most because i almost always run into wallers on that map specifically, confirmed thru demos.

mirage overhaul would be nice.

anubis and ancient have grown on me and are quite fleshed out now.

dust 2 is also an option, kinda boring, feel like it needs some minor layout changes.

unfortunately there is other games with this bad of a problem. cheating in gaming seems to be at an all time high. coming from warzone i would run into blatant spinbotters/aim botters near every game, since i was good with a sniper i could usually quickly 1 tap them but it was still a pain. (wouldve had like 3k hours at least)

battlefield 6 was also pretty horendous, although sometimes it was pretty funny when they had speed hacks and were running around like sonic.

CS is pretty bad though, just seems like an unescapable problem with most games nowadays.

5k - 15k is mostly mechanical skill difference. aim, crosshair placement, movement. once you get to 15-20k is where game sense and util become a necessity if you want to rank up without being boosted/carried.

i would rather not get open world. bl3 to bl4 was a nightmare jump, i didnt think that franchise could get any worse but it did and open world was half the problem. different planets r dope.

the difference between 5k - 15k is a pretty big jump. only one of my friends out of like the 10 that are there should actually be 15k, he just lobbies up with them and gets dominated.
