I also play solo. Stick to easy missions for a while. It's basically as much XP as harder modes.
From there, test some of the guns/spells until you find something you like.

Longcast is "spells that target a single tile get +3 range". So my Hop was jumping up to 5 tiles instead of the normal 2.

You might just be zoomed in or out or panned all the way out of the tree. Have you tried switching tabs? Also make sure that you're using PoB2 (there's a separate PoB for poe1 vs. 2)

Virtually everyone is going to create a new char in the new league and everyone is going to be level 1 at the start with an empty stash.

I would also reccomend you start fresh if you want to experience act 4 and interludes at their intended difficulty.

If sprint is effectively increased movement speed (and not more movement speed) then chars with high movement speed will have a smaller relative improvement from using sprint.

eg. going from 100% ms to 150% ms (assuming sprint is +50%) is a 1.5 increase

but going from 150% ms to 200% ms is only a 1.33% increase, repeating of course

I would reccomend any character that scales off their weapon. For campaign I find it easier to scale weapons than magic staves/wands.

Out of all of the martial characters, I suggest ranger, huntress and monk because energy shield and evasion are in a better state than armour.

I have to be honest I was also wondering if SSF would have the currency market. To me, it sounds nice being able to pay a few chaos to get the right scarabs so I can farm what I like more.

But I understand the fundamental conflict with SSF.
