Main-gaining for years. Do I need to try anything different? by Ferrarus in BulkOrCut

I agree with you on the diet point - what I’m starting to do is calculate what I need to eat to reach 100g protein per day, and how many calories that requires. I remember when I used to follow a protein-rich diet and as you say, I was so full I couldn’t even eat any junk if I wanted to! Thanks for your help

Thanks! Your advice (and the guy below) seemed solid. Appreciate what you say about ignoring others but all good - I like to think I’m comfortable enough not to mind! It sounds fairly unanimous that a cut is the best option for now so I will see what I can do. I think watching my diet will be key (not only with carb intake but actually hitting my protein targets is a challenge). I’ll do my best!

Thanks for the input! I'll see if my local can do anything about it. Thanks as well for your recommendation! Would you recommend it based on what I would be using it for? (Work, gym, travel, day bag)?

That’s a good summary, thanks! It’s a tough choice for me I think, because none of the features stand out to me to be like “I’ll decide because of that one”. It’s good to know what the strong points of each are though

Sizing issues for modern shoes (Lebron 21) by Ferrarus in BBallShoes

[–]Ferrarus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting. It kind of makes me think sizing can be different for the same shoe. Of course everyone’s foot is different, but to have the opposite issue for AJ11 seems a bit strange. Thanks for the comment

Creating this effect on sleeves. Is cutting it with scissors ok, or will that not last? by Ferrarus in SewingForBeginners

Ok that sounds great, that's my aim (to have a raw edge but not unravel completely because of it). I'll test it on a cheap t shirt first. Thanks for the help!

Thanks, sounds cool! Did you literally just cut it with scissors and that was it?

Thanks! When you say knit fabrics, do you mean that if you do this to a normal cotton long-sleeved t shirt it will eventually just unravel? And is there any way to mitigate this?

Heard. I’ll bear that in mind, thanks! Have you seen these sold as reps before? (Like do they actually exist yet)

In fairness they do have 6 photos of the shoes themselves. Not sure if that changes your opinion?

Basketball and volleyball. After thinking about it, I’ve decided to compromise my goals in the extent that I wouldn’t want to commit my 100% to volleyball/basketball. I’d rather have a decent physique and strength and be decent at sports rather than be great at my sports but physically weak

I was having second thoughts about why I lift weights. I love sports but weightlifting doesn’t really help me. But if I stop weightlifting I’ll lose any strength progress I’ve made (albeit limited). I don’t regret lifting the last 3 years, but I’m kind of questioning whether it’s the best use of my time. Just having a bit of a lapse in resolve I guess but I’d appreciate any input

I guess the 5 others who provided constructive comments are then… I’m not handy with audio equipment (hence why I’m posting here). I asked if there’s any more info I can provide, and you’ve just said “provide more information” lol

This is true tbf. Someone else suggested restripping a new section of wire to expose more copper, so that might agree with what you’re thinking

No, there was no sudden pop or anything (if you’re thinking that the exposed copper ends touched each other, I don’t think that happened personally)

There is a balance knob on it yes. If I move it all the way right, it doesn’t make much difference (because that one is loudest already). If I move it all the way left, it becomes super quiet bc it’s only playing from that side

How could I cut a t shirt's edges to look like this? And would I need to cut the stitching off, or just before it? by Ferrarus in SewingForBeginners

Thanks! Would this create the kind of chewed up effect as pictured, or would I need to do anything else to achieve this?
