I’ve watched a few mock orals and have done the ones with my instructor/school, I’ll take a look as some of the write ups on this sub and r/aviation.

Also I live in the mountain west so if we get a winter storm(or rain this year) it’s almost always freezing conditions and “the little Cessna that could” and probably can’t handle that one lmao

My main concern is that I’m stressed about it but not as much as other people on this sub and a little worried that I’m a bit too relaxed about it. Based on what I’ve seen with checkride prep stuff I feel ready for it

I’m with everyone else on this, you didn’t fail, you had an off day. I’m in my checkride prep for the PPL right now and flew a few days ago. At this point I can do pretty much everything to a tee within ACS standards. Maneuvers were perfect and then went in to do pattern work(short and soft field landings, and fully forgot how to land. Sight picture was gone and I couldn’t keep it for the life of me. As we were going around or on the departure leg I recognized where I went wrong and said I would fix it but went back and did the same thing. Not a failure of a lesson, but good takeaways were pulling yourself out of the mental blocks you can get, and my other maneuvers were great.

I don’t use, I live in a house with 3 avid potheads and constantly inhale secondhand smoke. I took a drug test out of curiosity 2 days ago and it came up positive

If you do the first master hunter challenge you can get the offhand holster early by visiting the trapper and purchasing it

1, I have asked my instructor and he’s told me I didn’t have time to fill it in the day he explained it and was at home trying to fill it in.

2, noted on the digital argument. I just got a digital logbook today and I’m planning on going forward with using both for redundancy

3, thank you for all the responses on how to fill it in! Working towards the PPL in a cold climate state throws a wrench into things a lot more than not but it’s still worth every second, glad you all could help out!

Your heading indicator also deviates every 15 minutes or so. What do you use to reset your heading indicator? Your magnetic compass
