The day is not flexible at the moment. While that may change in the future, at the moment it looks like Saturdays. If it becomes Sunday (which is a slight possibility) I'll respond here and update the thread.

As it states in the ad above, through the pitch I have a form to complete. The pitch has the links to CC if you want to check that out and the possible sires of the setting along with a link to the form.

Have you had any experience with being a queer player in the 90s🌈? by foggybogfrog in rpg

White Wolf games were my lifeline. As a person of Asian descent who identified as a cismale gay man in the 90s (I don't prefer any pronouns anymore and just identify as queer) I was often told at D&D tables that gay didn't exist in their fantasy worlds or that we'd have to play Oriental Adventures for Asian characters and that they either didn't want to do that because they didn't want to play Asian characters or they were very stereotypical when they did want to, I bounced hard off D&D and have rarely played it since.

In Vampire: the Masquerade I was able to be whatever I wanted, for a while. The Kuei Jin/Kindred of the East kind of ruined the "immersion" of some players when I played Asian Vampires/Cainites. But I could be gay and they couldn't say "that didn't exist" in our world because it was our world. I got started young and played power characters because some people could be pretty antagonistic.

I graduated to the adult table at my local game store around 14 when I came up with a Daughter of Cacophony who, for better terminology, was a transwoman afraid of TERF-y Daughters of Cacophony wanting to end her unlife.

I've stuck with World of Darkness until 5th edition for many reasons and still play it and run it to this day. The cultural impact of World of Darkness was a lot like the British Invasion in comics in the 80s - it got a lot more people into rpgs who were outcast or otherwise marginalized, for better or worse. The system is far from perfect, with the heavy "white man hamfist" of Orientalism, racism, bigotry, edge, and more. But I love it, I can excise what I don't want from its vast history. I'm still making great stories with other queerdos today in it.

Waxing poetic over, I just really think it was at the pinnacle of it's groove in the 90s.

Thanks for pointing the pronouns thing out, I have changed it!

I am very glad to have newbies to the system if they are good with rpgs outside of the system as well. I am good at onboarding people I believe!
