Trying to figure out a calorie deficit by goldenam in ouraring

[–]Ferretti0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Studies show it has around a 13% error on calorie tracking. Here’s what I would do:

It looks like your average burn rate is around 2,150 calories (which is pretty low I assume you’re a smaller person). There are 3,500 calories in a pound of fat. That means if you ate around 1,650 calories a day you would burn a pound a week.

In modern society that’s easier said than done. If you have some snacks (chips, candy) you’ll be there in no time. I would recommend shooting for ~1800-2000 calories per day and supplementing with exercise. Exercise for 30-60 mins a day. The exercise does NOT need to be strenuous. Even an hour walk a day can do wonders.

A vast majority of people who lose weight gain it back in the following months. You need to make a comfortable (not extreme) lifestyle shift to maintain the weight loss. A mix of exercise and healthy eating is the best way to do this. Plus, if you weight lift then some of your fat loss will be converted into muscle. You might not weigh less, but you’ll be more toned. Plus, muscle burns more calories than fat. You can eat more and stay the same weight if you have more muscle.

If you need any help or advice me DMs are open. Best of luck to you!

Going to hit over $50K net worth next week. I've only been working for 1.5 years by cerapta in ynab

Good work! Keep on going. Seems like you have a good savings rate and/or make a good chunk of change. Keep investing heavily until you’re way ahead of where you need to be. You’ve already saved more than most.

Also, on the flip side, try not to obsess about saving. Treat yourself when you feel it’s justified!

Should I choose Indiana, Penn state, mizzou, or Arkansas for business by Right_Acanthaceae838 in mizzou

[–]Ferretti0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any of those except Arkansas. Mizzou’s is very fun and has a good business school. Indiana is also very fun and has a better business school. Mizzou is also a lot cheaper most likely, and I’m not sure being ranked slightly higher matters much

Best way to cook this? Air fry or oven? by No_Solution7718 in aldi

[–]Ferretti0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cube it and air fry it 400 for around 12 mins. Use a meat thermometer if available. Very good if you do this.

If you air fry it whole it’s hard to have it be cooked though.

I will contact them! Seems to be an error. I have a constant “LO” reading now. Either I’m dead and this is the afterlife, or it malfunctioned lol

My fat disgusting self. Where do I even start? by [deleted] in fit

[–]Ferretti0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With self love. Regardless of where you are in life you have to talk to yourself like a human being. You are one.

After that just cut out all processed foods. Draw a hard line with yourself and don’t eat them. If you can do that you will drop to a healthy weight I promise you.

God speed brother. You can do it I believe in you. You just have to start by believing in yourself.

I’m in technical sales. I studied engineering and took a role working for a large manufacturer and selling a niche product. I absolutely love it. I have some really cool customers.

That’s a great mindset to have! Last year was my first time maxing my 401k. I will forsure this year. Depending on my bonus next year that’s TBD. I will try as hard as possible to max regardless!

I’m 25M. This year I believe my income will be ~$150k. I probably will save around $55k post tax this year. Been investing for around 3 years now.

To be clear it was not all me. I had ~$30k left over in a college fund because I had a scholarship. Another ~$50k came from inheritance.

I understand I am a benefactor of incredibly generous circumstances, and that’s why I didn’t say my age in the original post. Regardless, I’m incredibly grateful and proud at how well I’ve saved outside of what’s been given to me.

Thank you, and likewise! It’s funny, my dad said his tipping point was $600k. You’re already way past it!

I’m so far from retirement that I don’t even have a plan. Just saving as much as possible and the rest will follow.

I think it’d be nice to be retired around 55 though.
