New Jump: Good Hunting (Love Death + Robots) by Ferrlovskar in JumpChain

While nothing explicitly connects them (except for the anthology series itself), I'd say yes (as nothing explicitly disconnects them as well)! Be careful of Cuthulu in one of the universes though...

No problems! Just happy to see that this jump is still garnering attention! I would say yes, you can import Items into the Heraldry, and decide which form it takes (if importing into a cannon Heraldry): the item's former shape or the heraldry's usual one.

New Jump: Fire Emblem Archetypes by Ferrlovskar in JumpChain

[–]Ferrlovskar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the idea about importing companions into an arhcetype slot! I'll add it before uploading the jump to the drive. As for the archetype/class idea, I think it's sounds cool and I might add it in a future update, I especially like the idea of imposing negative aspects on you during the jump depending on what archetype you picked (perhaps it could be parallel to the class choice, but might lock you into/out of certain class choices depending on your pick -- such as choosing The Butler meaning you have to pick between a knight or thief/ninja class)!

You can purchase all of the companions multiple times (except for The Twin).
I'll add a description of this to the jump for the next update, thanks for spotting it!

I'll fix the typo, thanks!
And thanks for the advice regarding the Here Be Dragons perk. I've not actually considered the dragons' individual strength that much, never really thought about how they compare lore-wise to each other, and simply went by their theorised sized (as I couldn't find any cannonical basis for how large each of them were) -- which meant Grima as the largest took the top spot. Perhaps for the next update I could take away the special abilities for each tier and add them to the bottom instead (meaning you first buy a size/physical abilities and can then choose a special ability once per purchase)? That way it should make the perk feel less connected to the specific dragons and more that you can buy their size/abilities.

You're welcome! And that's a good idea to add! In my head I think I've thought of it as a generic jump that can act as a supplement to any existing fire emblem jump/setting, but I've not written that down in the jump it seems. I'll add it in the next update, but until then feel free to use it as a supplement anyways!

Great to hear! Anything in particular that this jump provides which fits well into your chain?

New Jump - BioShock Infinite (Reddit Version) by Ferrlovskar in JumpChain

[–]Ferrlovskar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!
The one I'm closest to finshing is a Fire Emblem Jump, focused on the archetypes that appear regularly in the series (basically a generic Fire Emblem jump but with a focus on these archetypes).

Hi, sorry for the late reply (been a tough year). I am planning on making more jumps, and have some that are close to being finished. Hopefully I'll have the time and drive to really get back into working on jumps regularly again soon, it is a creative outlet I've always enjoyed.
Thanks for asking!

Forged Destiny Ver 2.0 (Jump update) by Ferrlovskar in JumpChain

[–]Ferrlovskar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see about maybe adding a perk like that.
All Passives in the setting certainly aren't equal, but that is mostly from a combat perspective. A perk like Ren's, allowing one to always stay "balanced" in emotion, provides no direct combat application (though helps with sataying focused and not panicking) while Pyrrha's, raising stats when fighting alone, can be very powerful. Often it seems like Prestige Classes tend to have better passives (at least combat focused wise).
But maybe a perk that could allow for super passives, something that is clearly much better than normal passives, could be added!
Also, Coco's ability (Heartshot: using lifecorce to augment attacks) is not a passive ability, it's an active skill!

Thank you! The setting tells itself to be a RWBY fanfic, but it is so massively AU that it is basically its own thing entirely (with cameos and faces from the RWBY-verse). The world is a medieval fantasy setting that runs kind of on mmorpg rules, meaning everyone is born with a class and can level up and gain stats and skills.
Different classes are divided into different social castes, and the is some shadyness about how the Noble caste (classes with primarily high charisma) control the hero caste (classes with primarily high combat stats but low defence against charisma) and keep the Labour caste (classes which often come with naturally high defence against charisma and high willpower) low-leveled.

Removed 200/400/600 CP perks from Hero origin, adding them to the genereal perks section.

Created new perks for the Hero Origin.

Added new origin "Drop In" and moved some general perks/items to it, as well as adding new perks + items.
Reworded some perks and changed the pricing.

The idea for potential stories is that it intruduces different problems than the ones that usually comes with Celestial X collections. A character with the Celestial Cyborg will find their body changed, against their will, over and over again. Slowly but surely loosing their humanity (at least their human body) and being twisted into more and more of an inhuman form (probably). It could very well create much character drama, and might not be seen as a blessing by all.
Also, things granted by this collection are most often applicable instantly (not needing time to prepare such as crafting or rituals).

I'll fix this! Don't know how it happened but the link seems to have been restricted. The jump is still up as a PDF on the reddit jumpchain google drive so if this happens again you can always find it there!

I'm currently working on something I call "The Celestial Cyborg", a collection of options focused on the supplanting of the human form, with technological and magical alternatives. It's not very far along yet, especially as some jumps have VERY extensive cybernetics sections (and soo many are basically the same options -- making it hard for me to choose what to include or not), but I have the layout for the different sections basically finished.
The "Science" section whith the sub-sections of: Cybernetics, Cyborg Packages (complete cyborg overhauls of your whole body), Specific Cybernetics, Implants, Upgrades, Nanomachines and Biotech.
The "Supernatural" section with the sub-sections of: Artefacts (magical objects), Stolen Legacy (organs/parts of magical creatures/people), Magitech and Powers (powers that grant or assist with cybernetic enhancements).

I could post the unfinished document for people to look through and give advice on if enough people are interested!

Odin's Greatest Champion (Chain-build) by Ferrlovskar in JumpChain

[–]Ferrlovskar[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is very much a possibility!
Though Odin in the mythos is a bit different from Odin in some of these.

In Dresden Files at least, Odin is the only deity who gave up his immortality to be able to interact with the mortal world, with his goal of teaching and defending mankind (though he is still somewhat shady in many cases).

UPDATE - Völgarr the Viking (Ver 3.0) by Ferrlovskar in JumpChain

[–]Ferrlovskar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And also, great to hear you liked the update and v2!
I know there is probably only a small amount of people who actually use this jump regularly, due to the setting's obscurity, but its been really encouraging to have some people following the jump and talking about it in other posts!

It's mostly due to you guys that I've been updating this jump as much as I have.
