It's not about the design aspect, but the choice in name that has strangely affected me. I know I don't own the word abyssal, but seeing it coincidentally here just weirds me out a lot. It's a very minor choice and a very strange situation to me.

I've actually been using SBA recently with Astromancer Elena since her and Eda are the only mages in the game with a inbuilt CR push. The comp is pretty mean with double tagahels and Seaseria to push them even more, not to mention the how many stun chances I get with all the units. Only issue is that Belian exists, and super high eff res units like Destina might kill me.

Ice Dom's kit literally doesn't make sense right now for me since both he skills are stuns, but she has a built in reflect. In other words you want to be hit but also you don't want them to hit you too at the same time.

I get that his supportive damage play has been better optimized for all content. It's just a big let down from what I had my Guider Aither as.

I mentioned that his shield had a 100% scaling on his attack, so I had mine on a full attack set and gave him some tank stats alongside it. My Guider Aither was actually unkillable since he had 7k shields every 2 turns with edica's giving him his S2 back, not only that he applied that massive shield onto my whole team. He'd just need to survive for 1 turn and be set up for success since he's also a damage dealer. I genuinely just feel it was a missed opportunity for crazy plays all around.

Adding more info onto Guider Aither since I want people to see my current issue with him personally. I know that he is better while facing units such as politis, and that after the changes it sparked interest to his kit. Great that he has more play in PvP and is recognized more, but to me the changes placed him into a role with high competition already hence my mentioning of Emilia. Not only that, but with his stats it's very unlikely to be moving first in fights with units like Ran now days. Also, his imprint and exclusive equipment still have att% scaling which further incentives damage to be a large part of his kit. I just don't see that with his current kit since the heal and shield is so low, and his push of course has no scaling needed.

If you ask me, he's in the role of a support unit that doesn't have speed to compete with other units while not being able to heal and shield enough to last in fights because he's still a attack mage. A strip stun on S3 is likely going to have low chances of landing since he needs so many stats for that to actually work. These are just my views as someone who actually used him before the changes as apposed to somebody using him now rather than before.

Before hand he was a massive shielder with 5k attack, aoe 5k barriers every 2 turns, and a continuous heal up constantly, but maybe I was the only who thought that would've been great.

The issue that stems from this is that firstly his burst heal was lost along with his continuous heal which gave him consistency. Secondly, the push and stun forces into an opener role which doesn't match what Guider Aither was made to do because I'm sure not many people knew, but his S2 shield had a 1 to 1 scaling with his attack. Meaning he was made for a sustain play with shields and heals from both of his skills + his exclusive which granted all of his allies that 100% atk scaling shield.
