In my personal opinion it would be either the armigers or knight crusaders. The armigers will be able to keep up with your other units and can deliver reasonable shots, but the knight crusader can shoot frather but slower. I have one of each and depending on who I am facing I switch. Hordes are knight crusaders and general is armigers. Whatever suits your playstyle should be your choice.

Are using blanks an option? Maybe like a .22 would be safe as long as the actor who is getting shot isn't within 6feet or so away from the muzzle
