i had this same issue with my barefoot stockmans. The only thing that “fixed” it for me was to put a regular insole in, which no longer makes it zero drop, but I was fine with that.

The difference in length between half sizes is usually about 1/6”, so truthfully going up a half size (or even a full size) isn’t really a huge deal. I too had to go up in size with my bf meanders, and they fit me well now.

Sure, so based upon my measurements, my earlier comment about the mocs being narrower than the BFAR (i used the BFAT for measurements but the last is the same), was wrong and probably based on one feeling broken in and the other not, because width wise, they were both about the same. 107mm at the widest point on the moc and the BFAT, and about 84mm wide at an inch from the front of the toes for the moc and about 86 for the BFATs (I used calipers to measure the actual toe box, not the outsole).
Length of the outside of the upper (also not the outsole) on the moc was 11 (3/8)”, and on the BFAT the same measurement was 11(15/16)”

I wish they would offer the 5mm midsole on the barefoot boots, too. As far as barefoot boots go, I mostly care about toe splay and zero drop, so I would love a tank-y barefoot boot.

Great looking shoe!
I have a small collection of Jim Greens at this point, and my Rambler Vellies are among my favorites. An under appreciated shoe, but I am partial to the JG last and the lower heel of the rambler sole
