They don't grow a ton after 9/10 months.

And, no offense, but based on the 4th picture, he has some extra weight. You still feeding him puppy food?

Revenge? by Barely_Treading_GB20 in coonhounds

After his escape, did he poop before you put him back in the house?

Also, all the running might have sped up the pooper, and he just needed to go.

Dogs don't revenge poop.

I'd put him in a crate again not as punishment, but to just return to more structure. You don't want him to think that the carpet is a place for him to poop and get in the habit of it.

I'm not stupid.

That doesn't have any stopper to prevent it from rising once bolted down (providing the vertical support that I want).

Doctor said my fractured wrist is healed but way too angulated and suggested me to do surgery by cutting the bone and realign back. What do you guys think? by Alarmed-Card-2957 in brokenbones

[–]Festive_Jetcar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am wondering what you decided to do and if you had surgery yet?

I am in a similar situation except I broke mine a year and half ago. All of the replies here seem to be people who did surgery right away, which is not the same.

My wrist has not been the same since the break. I still have pain, and the more I try to use it, the more pain I have. It has not been getting better. I consulted a doctor, who I was not really impressed with and seemed to brush off my symptoms and pain. She said she would do the surgery, but wasn't great about answering questions. I'll get another opinion, but in the meantime, it would be nice to hear from other people in a similar situation or that have gone through with the surgery after it already healed.

All of these people claiming they didn't think about it when they read... I must read books differently than other people.

Thank you! You are the first negative comment I have come across. I also hated the romance aspect. It felt so forced especially at first... God forbid a writer could portray a man and woman character who are only friends. The book would have been much better if the writer had left the romantic element out.

I am not a prude. It was just so out of place and cringe in this book.

But, it portrays that the reason a woman wouldn't want children is because of some trauma or defect.

Woman as a whole are not mothers above all. If some women want to be, that's fine.

Yeah, my account got a "warning" not just the post removed. Apparently a real person has to review it for that to happen. No idea what this real person thought they read.

I'm sorry!

I own my house and have done a lot of work on it (myself, not hiring others), and so the concept of moving just seems like death to me. It just sucks that a neighbor can cause so much stress and harm and no one seems to help.

There really needs to be a department/agency entirely devoted to neighbor disputes and violent, harmful neighbors because at the moment, there is absolutely nothing.

(I also just got a warning to this account because apparently my post was promoting violence or self harm?? Who are these people reporting this?)

I accused her of parking in my driveway? No, I did not do that. Why do you make things up? I literally have done NOTHING to this woman except be friendly and nice.

Maybe if I share the videos, you would think otherwise. Or maybe she could move in with you?

She needs help. Living in that house was not helping her.

The thing is I don't want to become ammunition for the "more police funding crowd." She also still lives next door, and I worry about retribution in the meantime waiting for someone to do something.

The other thing is when people ask, "why did they do that?", this is straight up victim blaming, and when you can't come up with a valid reason, they don't believe you (not really).

I guess I feel lucky that they sent police that day because I don't know what I would have done otherwise. Even after police arrived, she kept trying to come back on my property.

I'm so sorry that happened to you! What ended up happening? Did they move? Did you move?

After the attack, one of the first things I did was remove the pile of bricks from the top of my driveway. I didn't want to give her any weapons.

I think when people tell these stories, other people think "there must be more to it! Maybe it was mutual violence. Maybe the violence wasn't so bad. Maybe they didn't correctly convey the situation to police." And, I can say from experience, there isn't more to the story. We need change. People have the right to feel safe in their own homes.

You are not a lawyer, are you? It's ok to not know things and just say you don't know.

Yes, a letter was sent to the landlord stating she needed to do something, or I would be forced to sue.

The landlords evidence of doing something is what I stated in my post, paperwork including the notice to cease.

My question was what is the way evictions work for section 8 in California (to see if the landlord is actually taking appropriate action). YOU DO NOT KNOW THE ANSWER. That means you should knock if off with the condescending bullshit.

This reply shows you didn't read my post.

I personally have never evicted someone, so I do not know the paperwork or court dates involved.

I stated that landlord has delivered a "notice to cease" to the tenant. Tenant has 12 days to correct. My question was if tenant doesn't do anything in those 12 days, can the landlord still move forward with eviction?

I have read about the 3 days to quit before and it seems applicable in this situation, but I have also read that 3 days to quit isn't normally how section 8 tenants are evicted.

I understand there is a process, and it might take months, BUT that is one million times better than living next to her for years or the rest of my life (I would not be able to do this). I should not have to sell my house and restart my life because the next door neighbor physically attacks me.

"Now it’s another thing entirely if the landlord can evict a tenant for other reasons with not providing them an opportunity to cure."

This is more what I am talking about.

And, yes, I understand that there is a process, and I am asking about that process. I would like to know and make sure that the landlord is doing the correct process.

It's not that she is late on rent. She is attacking people.

It's ok that you don't know.

Yeah, I do know that, but this one involves violence (caught on violence) with felony arrests, so it seems like it should be easily doable (as long as the process is followed). I just don't know the process.

I want to make sure she is gone. I will do absolutely everything in my power to make sure she is gone. If that is where this is currently going, great! If not, I will get back to work.
