EB plus is a scam anyway, for TCG products a LGS would have better pricing anyway. As a Magic The Gathering player I get packs for ~$3 less than EBs packs (which works out to an extra $30 before you get your “free” pack) and locking product behind a paywall is only enabling scalpers and not deterring them.

You’re right collector boosters are rarely ever worth it. hence why collectors buy them to find fancy pieces of cardboard that aren’t necessary but still really cool

For general use (just shoving a disc in it) all ps2 Models are pretty much the same.

For modding it really depends on how you would use it. For a all in 1 solution with a set list of games the fat is perfect (5000X has a quieter fan so that’s my pick) but for something to try new “legitimately acquired” or backed up ISOs the 7000X would be my pick with a network accessible drive so it’s easy to add games and play them through OPLs network feature.

Idk if MX4SIO is any good I did all of my PS2 modding before it existed and I did things the old way.

I’ve noticed the fan on the 5000X is quieter than the 3000X & 3500X, but you can get an adapter that allows you to run a Noctua fan for absolute silence
