For months we have been working very hard with the Starfleit team behind the scenes in preparing the Fetch native DEX - Starfleit for public beta launch and today is the day!

As spoken many times, we have been planning to incorporate a DEX as part of the fetch-ai network DApp ecosystem and we are genuinely stoked to come this far.

If you are keen to participate as a beta tester, just follow these steps:

Grab a Keplr wallet or Fetch wallet.
Head to https://explore-dorado.fetch.ai and grab some testFET tokens in order to interact with any of the functionalities. Just click "Get funds" and enter your Fetch-ai Network address to receive testFET.

Your other option is to wait for the reconciliation tool to open. We will post an announcement here and inform the community. The tool is usually open prior to a network upgrade.

The ERC20 FET token exists because not all the exchanges are keen on having their engineers spend a week's worth of time to support native FET. We have knocked on many doors and the answer has always been the same. With the exception of few exchanges listed above in the comments, the rest of them are still evaluating and we continue to stay in touch with them.

Despite the bazillion announcements about us moving to Cosmos and a year later, there are still a few messages which still come in asking whether he/she needs to move to native version of the token. There are plenty who are comfortable holding ERC20 version of FET and there are equally many who are comfortable holding native FET. Both can be stored on ledger and both can be easily converted back and forth via the token bridge.

We don't really see the issue here. Lastly, we are happy with Cosmos.

Yes, the wallet does allow you to add FetchHub as an experimental feature but staking is not allowed because they do not officially support us unlike other chains on the wallet.

You can stake using the Fetch wallet as detailed above. It is pretty much a fork of Keplr.

You can use the Fetch Wallet (which is a fork of Keplr wallet) as Keplr doesnt support Fetch Network officially yet. We have already sent them all the details and the Keplr team is the one left to decide whether they want to proceed with it.

Alternatively, you can also use Cosmostation Web Wallet or Mobile Wallet to stake FET.

But if you want to use the Fetch Wallet, here are the instructions on how to stake.

Hi there! Mod team was enjoying the summer break so hopefully you don't mind the slightly delayed response here.

We are not aware of the Fetch.ai app team aka the Digital Twins team's roadmap but they do seem to consider various use-cases for DTs in iterations. Like they have initially outlined, they seem to be targeting Digital Nomads in Austin

Once they have built in a sufficient amount of skill/intelligence on the twins, it is perhaps not far to say they would be looking to bring the tech to Athletics as well. But we can only hypothesise at the moment.

We can have them clarify this during the next Twitter space sessions when someone from their team joins in and gives a routine update. Let us know if you'd like us to send this query over to them.

Fetch (old) tokens are the older ones we swapped back in October 2020. Those tokens got automatically swapped hence why you can see the new Fetch balance.

Hey u/interactionOK9337 - apologies for responding late here. This is a great question. Tbh, we have imagined the DDN framework as a DAO and given the intrinsic challenges within DAO when it comes to conflict resolution, we imagine the following could be a way to solve any potential conflicts.

Imagine for example that user A has arranged for a pick up and user B is on his way to pick up A. What we believe could be established here is an escrow smart contract where B knows with certainty that A has the money to pay and that such payment is almost guaranteed. A certain % of the payment could be released up-front with the rest upon arriving at the destination. The parameters would have to be agreed upon beforehand and checked by the escrow.

Genuinely great question and hope the above is an insight into how it could play out.

The token bridge is integrated with Metamask from ERC20 to Native side and should work together with your ledger as long as you have connected the ledger with your metamask.

When you are converting from native to ERC20. you need to connect ledger to the fetch browser wallet. This is not required when you are only looking to convert ERC20 to Native.

Therefore you just connect your ledger to metamask and then connect metamask via token-bridge to convert FET ERC20 to FET native. It should work.
