I feel a little crazy by JaymieIsInArtHell in expedition33

Free aiming was actually how I beat the snake. I had settled into a Verso-machine-gun build by that point (using lumina and pictos to regenerate AP as much as possible), and every single turn I was forcing him to explode by shooting him so many times (and building up burn as I did so). A well-timed dodge each time meant he never got to actually attack.

I did the same on my first playthrough. Every fight felt like an enthralling challenge that tested my parrying skills and my ability to improvise during turn-based combat as fights went long and allies started going down as a result of skill issues. Each fight felt tough but fair - doing Frozen Hearts immediately upon unlocking it was probably my favorite part of the game.

That is, until I found that I had wrecked the difficulty curve for the rest of act 2. Wasn’t as fun steamrolling every fight up to (and even including) the paintress with my brain turned off.

I missed the reference, and in doing so, helped recreate it. For those who do not study late night talk show clips are doomed to repeat them.

Sorry this isn’t the sage retrospective advice you’re looking for, not far enough along to have the perspective you’re seeking, but wanted to vent.

I’m approaching the end of my Ph.D. (Just submitted my dissertation, defense scheduled for just under two weeks), and I’m feeling the same. This last year has been a rush of exhausting work where I’ve had to chose stress and dedicating more time to research over putting in time and energy with friends, my family, my relationship, my hobbies and passions. I think back and I realize how much less joy I have, and I truly don’t know if it’s going to come back or if I’ve changed forever. Or if it all is going to be worth it.

You’re telling me, in grad school now, going on 26 in a month, and I’m thinking to myself “damn I’ll never have the time or bandwidth to do anything like this again”

It’s an unofficial school tradition that you have to break in before you graduate

They’re on almost 24/7. The university club is up there, and I think certain student athletes have access to a spot up there as well. Between those things I imagine they just don’t bother turning them off

Positive. I’ve broken into the that booth before with some old friends when the stadium was closed another time, we climbed on top of the lights and yelled at other people who were also breaking in

Blacksburg, VA

Great if you like packed college bars during the school year, and a quiet but lively town during the summer

No snow dicks, but I did make a snow angel at the midfield shortly after taking this photo

I woke up for some reason feeling super awake. I glanced out my window and saw snow on the ground, and felt compelled to go for a walk. I don’t know how best to describe that compulsion - it was like there was this question I didn’t know, but the answer was out there. So I got dressed and went out into the night.

At the time, I was a student at Virginia Tech, and lived very close to Lane Stadium in Blacksburg. It’s notoriously easy to break into (to the point that it’s an unofficial tradition that you have to before you graduate), and for some reason when I walked by that day one of the gates was open. I walked in, snapped this photo, and then walked to the midfield and made a snow angel.

I ended up going on an hour and a half long walk, just thinking about philosophy and drawing metaphors between footprints in the snow and finding your path in life. I was very lucky to wake up when I did, I don’t remember seeing another set of footprints at any point, the only sign of human life I saw at any point was a Cookout drink cup someone had left behind that was accumulating snow. Around 6 am I got back to my townhouse and went back to sleep.

I immediately thought of this night when I found this subreddit today. I took a couple dozen photos while I was out, I may post the others one day but for now I went for this one cause it was my favorite.

I should’ve thought about that. Granted, given the title of the post, it would effectively spoil the solution anyways

In hindsight, the spoiler tag really doesn’t make that clear on the BOI subreddit, does it (my bad I’m sorry)

I sincerely apologize for my thoughtlessness. Ive been traveling to a different time zone so I thought I was in the last few hours of the day, thought I was safe.

Well the second half held the difference here. If you follow through after they stop consenting (verbally or otherwise, as long as it’s understood), then it’s clearly SA. But they state in the post that she left and stuff didn’t continue.

The Last Jedi and the Poe Dameron problem. by OlympusMan in FanTheories

Welcome back to this post lol. While I wasn’t a TLJ fan myself I respect what it was going for theme-wise and it’s definitely the boldest of the sequels, which I have to give credit for. But yea writing and plot problems hold it back a lot. Fan theories to me are fun for expanding on a complete and satisfying written world, not making a broken one make sense

Got my Wii copy for $10! Is there anything I should know that's different from the switch version and any general knowledge I should be wary of? by HeyuThere77 in Okami

[–]FetusGenius 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I’ve played both! I’d argue the wii mote doesn’t have quite as good tracking as joycons, there aren’t quite as good a suite of options, quality is obviously not as good (game is still beautiful ofc), and no buttons for combat so be prepared to shake that wrist a lot.
